    My old male was 2lb 8'ish when I took him up in the first year, he came down to roughly 2lb 2 to get him going. don't forget the weather will be getting milder and milder this time of the year plus most peoples Hunting birds will be dropping feathers and moulting ............

    i found the sows and pigletts were quite tollerent i use to feed them however the boar of the group is another matter and fast tree climbing skills came in handy on more than one occasion

    Good observation mate. It's a funny situation . . . . they are penned in one of the woods on the estate (but are true wild boar), but its a big area and they are allowed to do as they please, and have raised a number of litters. The area where the photos are taken, is where they bed down and wallow, as there is a stream that crosses the woodland there. You can usually catch up with them at that point. However, it has been noticed this year, that there are pig signs (rooting etc) in numerous places on the estate outside this woodland, and it seems that they pretty much come and go as they p

    Same here I zero at 60yds but much past 100 with subs is pushing it, dont know about high velosities though never used them there shite dont bother Even the RWS ones I am not talking the stingers /yellow jackets or anything,like I say I have never had much reason to try them,I bought some remington subs couple of weeks ago to put me on, and they were proper useless,took em back what I had left, i like remmington subs a bit harder than eley or winchester so dont expand as much but if you hit a vital organ they kill just the same cheap to boot. my cz groups them better than winchester but
