  1. Luckily Trump has found a new cure, a drug he suggested to the doctors he should take. This should all be over soon folks ?
  2. The Belgians have been on board with masks right from the beginning. Long before they were made mandatory almost everyone wore them in shops etc. The moment it was made mandatory 100% compliance. It was ruled masks should be worn outside in busy areas, but the Belgians took it upon themselves to wear them everywhere, even to walk the dog in the park. After 6 months of loyal mask wearing they are closing the bars & restaurants once again brussels. edited to say only the Bars, not the restaurants......my bad
  3. Just when we thought things were getting better in Belgium they close all bars & restaurants in Brussels for a month! Not only that, but new a rule of 4 people for outside gatherings & the relaxation of mask wearing outside seems to be largely being ignored by the many communes that still want to impose that rule, including mine Went to the police station & commune last week to ask where I legally stand, because I’d been stopped with no mask, & they didn’t know ? Looks like bars & restaurants are yet again an easy scape goat, it must be their fault & n
  4. Anyone see the socially distanced funeral go Pete Tong when a son dared to comfort his mother? f***ing madness! Reminds me of a wedding I saw here a couple of weeks ago. Over half of the entourage were still wearing their masks for the photos! Wtf?? ?
  5. I don’t buy that, but we’ll never know. Campbell & Blair may of had it well organised, but the electorate were primed & ready for change after almost 2 decades of the tories.....
  6. So you’re saying even if the tories were a model government at the time, which they weren’t, the electorate would of still fell for Campbell’s cunning plan?
  7. I know you’ve said this many times before on here, but do you think the tories had nothing to do with that election result at all?
  8. Not much chance of him spreading nothing ?
  9. Ivor Cummings.......talk radio now. Another interesting look at current data & not just computer modelling ?
  10. Andrew Neil talking to Prof Sunetra Gupta is well worth a listen ?
  11. The sniffles! ? Welcome to the 98% ?
  12. They are Christians......of course they are! ?
  13. It’s ok the Biden’s are praying for his speedy recovery! ???
  14. There’s f**k all wrong with him ?
  15. Trump forget to take his hydroxychloroquine? ?
  16. I’ve been following alot typically right leaning media lately & what’s surprised me most is the backlash from life long conservatives & right of centre voters, it’s endless! I don’t think I’ve read or heard one positive comment out of hundreds....
  17. Anyone else think there hasn’t been enough said about long term health & looking after your immune system? My mum is a great example of short term thinking. She’s absolutely terrified of catching COVID. She’s been out twice in 6 months & fully prepared to spend Christmas alone (she hates being alone & has always made us feel guilty about it).......she will no doubt spend Christmas Day smoking 30 cigarettes.....
  18. I was forced to go to Ikea yesterday, first time this year. It was packed like usual & yet the poor night shop owner has to close at 10pm.......?
  19. I think we are on the same page here? ? I just think our focus is getting a little narrow for most of us. There’s a bigger long term picture to take into account. No easy answers of course & I find I’m checking myself constantly for my empathy levels.....
  20. I think blaming the young has become an easy scape goat. Its the young, people who go to restaurants, people who go on holiday etc .....all those people enjoying themselves it’s there fault! .....but nothing to do with most of us meeting at supermarkets, buses & trains on the way to busy work places & offices etc etc
  21. Surely it should be of equal concern that thousands of cancer sufferers may die prematurely through fear of COVID, rather than actually getting it. Let’s not forget even the vulnerable have a very good chance of surviving COVID, on the other hand a missed cancer diagnosis could be a certain death sentence for some.
  22. Desmond Swayne speaking in a mostly empty parliament (of course) yesterday is worth a listen ?
  23. It’s hard not to notice the difference in attitude & media coverage........I’ll give you that ?
  24. The videos represent something you wouldn’t of seen anywhere here, during an enforced closure. They kept schools, restaurants & shops open in many areas, we closed all of those, apart from food shops obviously. Im not suggesting for one moment they carried on usual, that’s clearly not the case, nor am I suggesting their approach would of worked elsewhere. But to describe it as a lockdown compared to the rest of us is a bit of a stretch. For what it’s worth I have been getting a little first hand info from Stockholm, through a friend who does much of his work there. Obviously the
