  1. Yes, I'll be there. Yes, I've had a SFS Stage 2 HW97KT .177 for a while now. I might also put the HW100KS in the car also ......... just in case you and Davy are whooping my arse real bad with the springers!
  2. I'll be able to give you my opinion in 6 to 8 weeks time. If you can't wait that long, I'm sure Zini can give you an idea as he owns both.
  3. A cautionary tale ..... Today I wandered too close to the event horizon and was caught in the irresistible gravitational attraction of Black Hole HW98. Fortunately planet 'Sandwellfieldsports' answered my distress call and offered the services of their rescue spacecraft 'Stage1tune'. Their help in lightening my wallet - thereby reducing my mass and therefore the gravitational force - meant I was just able to break free! I post this as a timely warning to my fellow intrepid explorers of the vast airgun universe.
  4. No problem Roger and thanks for the scope magnification ring grip strap.
  5. Also got the same pair in .177. Weirauchs are great guns. Saw a new HW98 at old downs pursuit today ..... hmmmmmmmm ........ tempted to make it three
  6. I prefer my MTC Viper Connect 3-12 x 32 at the moment over my Hawke Sidewinder 4-16x50 IR SR Pro.
  7. Great day out with some new mates. I'm well chuffed with my score of 50 at my first go at this HFT lark - even if it was probably beginner's luck!
  8. Davy Do they definitely do one for the HW100? It's just that I can't see it mentioned on their web site. Regards Mark
  9. Dauntsey Guns in Wiltshire have the HW97KT in stock in both calibres for £449.00 inc VAT. I've bought some items from Wiltshire Rod & Gun recently and the owner has been very friendly and given me discount off his listed prices e.g Hawke 4-16x50 Sidewinder 30 IR SF scope down from £319 to £269 and Hawke LRF 400 range finder down from £120 to £107. Worth bearing in mind that prices displayed in a shop are an 'invitation to treat' i.e. if you offer the amount shown then they will accept that offer - it doesn't mean that they won't consider lower offers. Don't be afraid to negotiate
  10. hi Davy I think I need to get a few hours target practice in with it first ..... Wouldn't want to embarrass myself first time out a HFT club. I also need to quickly test it for pellet preference so I can let Zini have the four tins of pellets back he kindly loaned me. Good luck with the new HFT course. I will definitely join a club ... probably either Barbury or Glevum as they are both about the same distance from me. Does Barbury have an indoors 25 metre range? Atb Mark
  11. I ordered the gun new from Tony 6 weeks ago. These stage 2 tuned HW97s are obviously pretty popular given the current waiting time but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.
  12. ..... from Tony Wall at Sandwell Field Sports to say my stage 2 tuned HW97KT .177 is ready!? Booked tomorrow off from work to drive miles up to SFS to collect it. I can't wait to try this bad boy out.
  13. Looks like I should have stayed a bit longer for the identity parade and mugshots ..... I need an avatar as well. Mark
  14. Si, you are a true gentleman for lending £40 worth of pellets to some one you had literally just met. I'm hoping to get the call from Sandwell Field Sports either next week or the week after to say the new HW97KT is ready to collect - counting the days Mark
  15. Thanks once again Aaron . Yes I can hardly wait to get my own 97KT. Nice avatar by the way ..... I have two GSDs myself. Mark
  16. I been lurking on the forum for a month or two now. I'm looking to get back into air gunning after a thirty year break and decided this morning to pop over to Old Down Pursuits to check out what FHT was all about. It was great to meet Si, Davy and Simon today and very informative to watch them shooting. Amazing how much the technology has developed in the last thirty years .... my last air rifle was a 1977 HW35 Export .22 as a teenager! I will definitely be trying HFT in the near future .... I just need to decide which club to join and get a lot of target practice in. Thanks also
  17. Hi chaps I'm a first time poster but have been lurking on the forum for a month or two now. I'm looking to get back into airgunning after a thirty year break and I'm particularly interested in HFT shooting. Looking forward to participating in the forum and hopefully learning a few things from like minded enthusiasts. atb Mark
