Out again over the weekend the young dogs really are working well my mate has the dam and litter sister to mine he has had 30 days picking up at the grouse already this season and it has done the young bitch a world of good ...the young dog of mine has a right style when hes working and cant wait to get him on the hill next season he should be bang on by then

3rd cast this morning got into another fish .. a crakin 16lb tartan hen fish that certainly put a bend in the new 13 footer returned to continue her journey ...had another 4lb coloured grilse just after dinner

First time out with the new rod and Managed to put a bend in the rod today a nice wee 6 pounder straight of the tide saw a few fresh fish come in ....lads I knew were fishing about 20 miles up stream and said the river was rising quick and was unfishable there must of been a fair bit rain on the hill .....4 hours later they were right it rose about 2ft in 30mins and was unfishable by just after lunch hopefully it drops over the wekend for next week and the rest of the fish waiting to enter come in with the smell of fresh water out at sea

Mine is 18 months old now and is turning into a decent animal ....I have never been so frustrated with a dog but I know its already been said but they really do need to be left as pups and I found when training it was little and often but very quick to pick things up and easy to train but it has to be when they are ready and all the training I done really has paid off and its all clicking together .....had him out beating last week which I was worried about but it was a big shoot with over 20000 birds down and the drives are big so plenty of scope if a dog ranges out a bit but he never put a

I have just bought the new Salmo Logic skyborn 13.1ft rod designed and developed by Henrik Mortensen the inventor of the Zspey rods Any one looking to buy a new salmon rod these really something special and I would highly recommend I have used pretty much everything on the market and these are up there with the best of them ....the lines are balanced to each rod and throw out some line with minimal effort Out tomorrow and all next week hopefully put a bend in it

I was saying the same thing to a lad at work the other day. He should play with Whyte a bit. Try out a few things. Get a few rounds under his belt. But I don't think that's his style. He will get in, get the job done and get out. And who can fault him really. im sure he will want to proove a point a get the job done asap

I have lost my pieps box fuk knows what ive done with it ....I have the ortovox d3 as back up and used it 3 times this week and just cant get on with it accurate enough...... but all over the place when the dog is on the move numbers all over the place ...Where is the best (cheapest) place to buy a new pieps box ?
