  1. I hope this works didnt work so search ebay and type in capitals letters GAUGE REDUCER, pretty dear but would be handy i must say.
  2. keep us posted neal, it will be interesting to see how you get on.
  3. thanks sjm, your right it was terrible, max couldnt wait to get home and he has been sleeping for the past 3 hours, absolutely knackered!
  4. i am sure it has been mentioned on here that i think its NFU that will insure working, i havnt checked but BASC probably do. i wouldnt tell them that my dog done any injury while out working
  5. i did think it sounded good on the phone, hopefully i will never need to use it to find out if they are as good as the policy sounds.
  6. How much does that set you back John? i was just going to update my post, it costs about £8.40 a month,
  7. pup is looking great rhys, chester has done everyone proud with the pups he has bred.
  8. i am with more than and its £6500 and i think £70 excess, it covers any ongoing illness not just for the first year and covers the dog for life not just untill it is 8 unlike most other insurances.
  9. for the wasps nest i would get hold of a couple of litres of formaldehyd and put it in a knap sack sprayer and spray the nest till it is mush, i would reckon this would also work for the bracken but for gods sake dont let animals near it for a while and wear goggles and a mask, this stuff kills everything

    WHAT POSITION?

i started working on a trout farm part time during school holidays and weekends when i was 11 now i am 27 and manage 2 of the farms now for the company. We sometimes buy trout from across the water and know that most farms take on extra staff for during the summer months and leaves you with the whole winter to hunt those wabbits
  11. sorry to hear that, i hope you get them back and get some payback.
  12. fab work chucky, i still havnt seen any cubs around here yet.
  13. well done, i cant wait to get my pup on his first rabbit, only coming up for 14 weeks so ages yet to wait, look forward to seeing your future pics.
  14. well paul i would say that was not bad unless they were decoying in to about 25 yards, i personally am reasonably pleased to have a 50% shot to kill ratio. One of my pals shot 60 birds a couple of months ago on cut peas and fired about 350 shells which considering how well the birds were decoying that is pathetic. he still said he had a good day which i suppose is all that counts.
  15. well done wag, what sort of groups do you get with the home loads? i was thinking of reloading, and i must get one of the u callers, they sound great.
  16. I don't do much lamping single handed anymore,if i'm honest it give's me the heebie jeebie's.I start to hear and see stuff that ain't there.I was lamping over a local golf course one night on my own,and i thought some fecker was running towards me.I threw the lamp down, and grabbed my stick ready to cosh the f****r.It was the flag on the 7th green blowing in the wind. Another time me and my brother were out with the dog's,we'd had some a*******s break into the car a couple of weeks before,so i dropped him at the entrance road, and took the car down the drive to the farmhouse.I started walking b
  17. WELL DONE fantastic shooting and a great write up to go with it. What gun /scope combination are you using and do you also use the U caller? you guys across the water must have a tremendous amount of foxs to control. forgot to add what is your longest shot?
  18. i have the vx111 in 3.5-10x50 on my .22 which i have had for 7-8 years and the vx111 8.5-25x50 with varmint recticle on my 22-250 super scopes and cheap if you import them, the 8.5-25x50 was only £420 which is a bargain, i would definately recommend buying one
  19. i must say max looks so similar to your pups, and your bitch is looking fantastic, if max is half as good looking i will be well chuffed. The main thing that max lacks is socialising skills as he never meets any other animals except ferrets and sheep, i could of really done with an older companion for him to tag along with.
  20. thanks del its the hob who is much more boistrous than the jill and chases the dog but max can get a bit too heavy handed or should i say pawed when he tries to hold the ferret down, but it sometimes looks like the ferret will nip his nose but max is still too fast for it.
  21. i would definately say the 500,000+ lamp, specifically the lightforce striker and also get the dimmer switch then you can have the one lamp for every situation that you might need a lamp for
  22. i agree, i like the fawn dogs as you can see the muscle definition better when they have matured.
