At last someone with my way of thinking
2,600 views, over 120 replies and you,ve finally found a reason to breed from the mutt, well done, don,t take up chess.
Your very easily annoyed Morton
Well if it's part of your landscape and it aint doing it, why are you even contemplating taking it on?
Think you've just answered your own question
Read my first post so if I bred from the dog are you telling me it will effect the pups in the long run???
I've never asked?I'll find that out,it's a beautiful big red dog the lad still has its brother over there and I've seen pictures of it looks an even bigger animal
This dog came outa Yorkshire, apparently this dog was owned by one of those Subaru heads I've spoken to the bloke who sent the dog over and he told me that he was offered 3grand for the dog before it came over
Sorry stabba the dog dose that chum but when he has lost site his head go's and you have to catch him up very quickly cause you don't know what he's going to do next
I Wouldn't either chum but the dog is very game you have to see him go, if I breed from this dog it's not as if I'm selling the pups I'll give them away to good working homes can't be bothered with selling dogs for money
Guy int pub said if you ain't selling pups, and you are happy to use the dog and your conscience will be clear doing so, then go for it. Wont be us on here doing all the hard work
For once the guy down the pub could be right, I like the dog and so would any lurcher man

Its not been properly trained to navigate obstacles, thats not the dogs fault is it?.Geez mucker you,ve some sharp and knowledgeable hunting companions.
If the dog was truly game and really wanted its quarry it would have learned to get over round under through any obstacle ... IMHO if a dog won't bust a gut go get to what it wants then it can't be really that game ......
well said no doubt this dog gets through gaps in hedges jumps fences etc as any working dog does second nature .but when it stops at gates fences and cover etc chasing prey to me its lacking drive and is gutless .it woul
I've seen the dog socks when he puts his teeth to anything it's toast I'd a chat with the lad who has it he said the dog came out of England
I have seen plenty of dogs that you could put in a room with anything and they would kill it ... But the same dogs didn't have the drive or heart to bust a gut to get to their quarry when an obstacle was put in front of them ... That tells me the dog is lacking something ......
Thanks chum

I'm in a dilemma about using a lurcher dog over my bitch thing is this dog is a machine he is capable of finishing off anything but the dog on a run will stop at gates, fences if you get my drift, the mates I hunt with say give it a wide birth but I would breed from it cause of its game Ness, What do you think lads
I havent a clue, if Im doing pups myself I usually dock no more than a third of the tail off
It won't stop them from working chum I'm sure they'll do you proud
