    i have lamped alot all over the uk and i do recall one night driving somewhere out the way in wales and a cat jumping out in the road and to the other side which i believed to be a lynx i could cleary see the tuffs of fur on the ears and stumb tail i didnt actually know what it was untill i researched it later but when i found it i had no doubt that is what i saw. i also remember lamping south of england with a friend and seeing something walking the hedge line for 2 or 3 seconds i am unsure of what but it looked large and was walking in that cat like way.

    i have kept quail and chickens in the past but never together i was considering it in a larger run but i have heard mixed reviews on doing so with the chickens killing the quail and egg problems... just seeing what peoples experiances were??

    i was thinking of raising it up on blocks and useing strong mesh for the floor make it alot easier to clean any advice???? also would quail eat chicken eggs ??

    got the wood for my chicken pen post from the woods yesterday, and today had a ganders in the loft found some old wood and made the coop with a lift up roof and sliding door, not quite finished going to finish it off with some hazel around the sides just to make it look nice and some roof felt now i just got to wait for mesh to be delivered get it up and get some chickens atb :thumbs:

    tbh i dont think the foxes would be a problem and at night the chickens will be locked away. do you think i should do anything to the wood before hand treat it with anything at all? i plan on burying it and part of the mesh so far down.

    plan to get a few chickens soon some free eggs for me and the muts.. my plan is to build it all out of natural materials from the woods behind my home except for the mesh but that is it.... iv been out today collecting some lengths of hazel around 5ft long. just wondering if anyone else has done similar a few photos would be good :thumbs: atb
