Sounds like you are enjoying your Pro Sport, they have got to be one of the best looking air rifles on the market. I bought mine S/H back in February and due to the awful weather and work commitments I have only just started to shoot it regularly now. Mine does have a very noticeable recoil to it, and I would welcome any advice about if it needs a tune or not. My Pro Sport is also very pellet fussy, shoots like a dog with JSB's exact, but since I changed to Air Arms Field last week it is much more accurate, and therefore a lot more fun to shoot. As a newbie I am still learning the techni

Nice shooting mate. I don't think the weather helps at the moment. Its so bloody awful its difficult to get motivated to go out. Keep your rifles and take a break from shooting, and then hopefully you will come back to the sport with more motivation. Atb. Russ

As a newbie here I need some advice about which brand of gloves to buy to keep my hands warm when out on my permission. At present I have a pair of Aldi neoprene camo gloves which the thumb and trigger finger fold back on. These have been fine until this cold weather arrived. I had to give up on my last hunting trip as I lost all feeling in my trigger finger. I then returned home to the mrs and kids. Any advice will be greatly received.

I recently purchased an mtc mamba lite at the BSS and am well pleased with it, so its worth a look at. I would suggest you shop around and try and use some of your mates scopes just to see what you get on with. Rgds. Russ

fxshooter replied to fxshooter's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Hi Davy, Thanks for the reply mate, I am working away from home this week, so do not have access to the torch I will be able to reply in detail over the weekend. All the best mate. Regards. Russ -
I purchased a Clulite MG 125 from the British Shooting Show recently and am very happy with it. It is a great bit of kit and excellent value for money. I want get a red/IR filter but the cheapest I can find the filter kit is around the £17 mark, which is a bit steep for what is just a few pieces of plastic. Does anybody have any suggestions as to how I can make a red filter for the torch myself and save £17? I have seen videos on the net that suggest using pieces of exposed 35mm film, but none of them explain how to attach it your torch. All advice greatly received. Atb.

Long Range Shooting With The Aa Pro Sport (For Mauders).
fxshooter replied to zini's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Si, Great bit of shooting mate. If the weather is OK I will be taking my Pro Sport out on Wednesday for some practice, I only started shooting as a hobby six months ago with the FX Cyclone, an amazing piece of kit, but now I fancy the challenge of a springer. Yours and Davy's posts on here and the videos on You Tube have been an inspiration to me in my new hobby. Thanks again, respect to you and Davy. Regards. Russ. PS Best wishes to you and LJ for your wedding and future life together. -
Thanks for the advice guys. I am a newbie and am just putting my kit together, initially I will be shooting crows and magpies with my air rifle from the hide, but am also in the process of applying for a SGC. I hope to start shooting pigeons over decoys May/June time. Thanks again. Russ

Fao Mauders (The Pro Sport As Landed)
fxshooter replied to zini's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Si Cracking gun mate. Got my Prosport set up at the club on Saturday and she is shooting like a dream. The rifle is probably more accurate than the its user. I am well chuffed with MTC Mamba/Sportsmatch mounts combination, and I am very grateful to Davy and the Pianoman for the advice they gave me regarding setting the rifle up. Atb Russ -
I have no experience of Milton Keynes ARC, but if you are in the area you should think about the club I belong to Midshires Marksman. The club grounds are near to the A1/A428 junction. We shoot FT, Iron plate, 10 meter competitions and you can plink to your hearts content. The club is a friendly shooting environment and the members are always willing to help newbies like me. Cheers. Russ

Looking After Your Airgun
fxshooter replied to Marksman's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Thanks for the advice guys, its all greatfully received. I bought the Prosport second hand last week for £330, which included a cr*p scope and a gun bag, cocked and fired it several times on the shops range and all seems OK. When I got home I cleaned all the finger prints of the barrel with a cloth impregnated with Napier Power Airgun Oil and its come up a treat. (When I checked the serial number with Air Arms they told me it was manufactured in July 2011.) It will be used on the club range on Saturday so I will then have a better idea of its accuracy, and then perhaps decide if the barre -

I cannot thread my Napier pull through down the barrel on my Prosport. The rifle shoots Ok as I have already put some pellets through it. Thanks again. Regards. Russ -

fxshooter replied to Bossmugler's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
I have a Huggett on my FX Cyclone and it is worth every penny, the rifle is virtually silent. Huggett are linked to Milbro which is Ben Taylors company and he only ever puts his name to the very best quality kit. Buy one mate, you will not be disappointed. Regards. Russ -

Advice Needed Scope Mounts.
fxshooter replied to fxshooter's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
Simon, Thanks for advice mate, whatever mounts I buy they will be made by Sportsmatch. I've read some of your posts on here about spring guns and have always found them to be well written and very informative. I am new to shooting and have only shot my FX Cyclone for the past six months, the Prosport is my entry into the world of spring guns so all advice is greatly received. Thanks again. Atb. Russ.
