    In fact, we haven't absolute freedom. We are allowed if we respect law and regulations. These regulations are precise. On the other hand, a lot of people want to stop these hunt activites. We have to struggle.

    1200 years ago, Charlemagne created luparii, a royal office for wolf hunting. This office is still alive, these are lieutenant louveterie (wolfcatcher Royal). We are actually 1500 lieutenant de louveterie appointed for 5 years renewable. When there's a problem with wild animals, administration can ask for lieutenant de louveterie. They are allowed to cull animals (boar, deer, badger, fox...). Thus, the badger season is closed from 15th of january to 15th of may. But sometimes administration call us to cull few badgers with lieutenant de louveterie.

    I don't want to speak about who's the best, older or younger. According to me and my sons, search is the most pleasant part of a hunt. We like it. I don't use locator. I don't put collar on dog, we could be tempted to use after few hours. Nowadays, some climb to the top of the mountain with a helicopter before descending on skis. Others continue to climb on foot with a mountain ax and skis on the back. the old ways are a great education for youngsters and respect for the talent ye have for locating dogs in france it is a gift but why not stick a locating collar on dog in case things g

    I've used them on boar and deer by the past, specially a little bitch named Rainette. Some friends use jagd on badger. A lot of Jagd are too hard to hunt to earth.

    Yes, things aren't different concerning men. Just a new : electricity. With electricity, we have internet (facebook and some others) and we have bellman&Flint (and some others).

    Exactly, except very scientific facts, each opinion depends on period and location. Concerning terriermen, the good and the bad aren't scientific matter but cultural.

    We hope but we have to struggle more and more. The problem is the education of young urban. In their mind, eradication of rural is the way of history, no more a matter of debate.

    Soon the end of the season. we will hunt 9th and 10th January. Special days for us. no digging during 4 months.

    If you need a surgical operation, april is the better. The 11 other months are too busy.

    Off-season is very short. We hunt big game (boar) until the end of february. During march, we'll go to venerie meetings (with hounds). May be one or two hunt of foxes during april. And the badger season is open in may.

    The end of the season is the 15th of january. Before we'll have two hunts. A good season, three young dogs started. One's too hard and two very good workers. Except during july, all the hunts was good. We had good people and nice places.
