I was helping my neighbour with a load of log splitting, last year. I was lurking about with the axe. He was operating the tractor run, 'pneumatic / hydraulic' (?) log splitter he'd hired. I must say, it was impressive, seeing this thing slice through f**king great trunk logs like butter. But, when It snapped, I was still swinging that axe like Eugene. Swings and roundabouts ....?

Sorry! Come and See would have been better saved for a thread about War films. But, f**k it. You've got me talking about war films now anyway. Come And See ..... I always advise people to keep reminding themselves that this is a fifteen year old boy. It is at the start and it still is at the end. Don't you find, where ever war films are discussed, that one's the hot favourite? And " Brothers In Arms " comes out high too! F**king rounds whizzing around in that are scary realistic!

But, what about the BBC production; " Auschwitz: The Nazis and 'The Final Solution' " ? F**king Superb! Go on any forum, any where. Ask, " What is your favourite film? " and a noticeable number of people will say 'Shawshank Redemption'. Yes, but I've learned a lot from threads like this before Led me to seeing some cracking films. And this thread's already throwing up some 'Givens'. Shawshank, as you say. Forrest Gump is another which I'm noticing often enough to think I'd better hurry up and see these, before I die. When this has levelled out, I might start another one and see where we go with that one. I have the genre in mind. Seen it else where. Thrown up some superb choices and given me a lot of pleasure

I think my most enduring (and endearing!) memory of " Snatch " is the SBT. When he eats the toy, in the car. Then, that bit where he Simply Must Bite Everybody in the Room! Five films you could always watch again ..... I'd planned to whittle away some time watching a film I'd downloaded, tonight / this morning. It was shit though. I couldn't take any more so turned it off. Now, I'm wondering what I might re watch, from my small (just pushing four foot) but ever growing collection of DVDs.
