  7. my old man bought a new cz 22 hornet so i call today to set it up for him.i fitted a scope a hawke 4/12/50 not big money but will do,i was doing the works ,one shot clean and setting it at 1 inch high at 50 yrds for now as that all he need at the moment,here a few photo of the results. thumbtack holding the page 3 rounds 1 high at 50yrds 22 hornet out of the box shots from cz is good as not the best shot with a rifle. cheers sounder

  9. got up at 6 this morning headed off to my shooting ground for a last chance of a deer as its over tomorrow i got there just after 7, after about a 1/2 a hour on i stalked along a wood by a wire fence the wind and sun was at my back but i could do nothing about, as nice and slow along i walked i stopped dead something caught my eye and again about yards away i opened my shooting sticks mounted my 243 for a look. a young doe lying down chewing away what gave her away was her ears flicking away i lined her up for a neck shot took my time as i was on the sticks and i had time, bang! she ne

  12. hi john when it comes to chokes i do change mine in my o/u for clays but i use a semi-auto for everything else and thats a 1/2 choke .but my gun for clays shoots high as it is a sporter and throw the pattern high, most sporter do but my auto throws the pattern flat,so its 1/2 below the bead and 1/2 above where the o/u is 1/4 blow the bead and 3/4 above, but that down to gun fit.i would'nt worry to much about choke or pattern. i change the size of the shot before the choke to suite what i am shooting at .knowing where the pattern is all u need to know,then it down to the man behind it. che
