Fair point corky John,the pup I have just put a deposit on has parents who look like they do the job,if the pup doesn't work out the same will happen as if it was gifted to me it will be pts,I just fancied a change from the blacks.I enquired about another litter whereby the fella said I could gladly come and see the sire work and the litter sister to the bitch which is fair enough but he wanted £600 a pup and I thought that was a bit too much,I would at least want it to be able to do the backfilling as well for that price.cheers Kev

I started the thread for some info,as usual the threads are jacked by tossers with nothin better to do than chat s**t on here.Any terrier i get would only be bred from if it proved itself doin the job i want and i needed more dogs in,not everyone knows someone with a good workin strain border so consequently if you want one you do your research and hopefully find what you are looking for or someone tries to help you out by puttin you on to pups off good workers as is the case here.So basically what i am trying to say is if you have nothing constructive to say please don't bother saying anythin

Her mum is the litter sister to moel famau griffin,me mate said it won the ftch this year.She is very small which will suit me for the places I will be working her.Sire is maesydderwen scimitar

Just got myself a cocker spaniel bitch,she is 5 months old and out of some very decent dogs according to a friend who is clued up on these things,really looking forward to getting her trained up for some beating and working with a friends Harris hawks.Will put some pics on when I figure out how to do it.

I used to take my old bitch bushing rabbits on formby dunes with two Harris hawks,they worked very well together

U southerners are spoilt down there,not many decent carp waters up this way.I tend to travel around Oxford and Gloucestershire to fish the gravel pits in the area.I have just been offered a place with prince Albert as for next year looking forward to challenge that comes with tackling northern club waters

I have been looking for ground hill/howl beck lines in case I can't pick a decent one off working parents,so I was looking at the right lines but I would be interested in a proper jack Russell type if it's from good workers and is a good type.thanks

I know that mate and if I see the right one I will get a Russell,I like the look of the parson type though and so does the missus,she has been to a local parson breeder and saw some of her dogs and likes them but I want one that will keep me happy as well,so it has to come from working dogs

Does anyone work parsons to ground?I am considering getting one for a bit of ratting,flushing to guns and some earthwork.the reasons I am considering one is,with the guns I want I white terrier because I think their is less chance of a White one being accidentally mistaken for something else and getting shot at,not that the shooters would do like.Also through past experiences with terriers I need a more sensible type of dog that won't be off the road for weeks on end after a dig cos I only have the room for one terrier and last but certainly not least the missus likes the breed and she has to
