    Thanks ! Like i say Shoots nice very little recoil I was planning on making a snug delrin liner for piston next to make even smoother and quiter so new owner can always have a tinker if wanted too Knocked 25 off price so 300 now think that's a very fair price for it

    In no rush but just putting the fealers out if don't sell IL happily keep it :-) Decided to part with my theoben evolution in .177 I bought this as a gas ram gun but wasn't happy with how it shot so converted it to spring power now shoots beautifully hardly any recoil and very smooth to cock and fire I fully stripped all internals polished everything up had a delrin spring guide and top hat made by John small Has a brand new titan xs main spring fitted and is shooting at a very consistent 11.00 ft lbs The piston was spun in lathe to remove rebate inside to make even smoother New pis

    Thanks I'm definitely leaning towards getting one but will mean me selling my theoben I've just built think it struggle to get back what I've put in it tho .i will be out tonight with it so will probably have a few good outings with it before parting with it 1st but think it be getting a 99 in next month or so

    Made the mistake of calling in to Henry kranks lat week and having a look at some Springers (like you do) and handled a 99 tempted as hell but means me selling one of my guns 1st which makes me sad lol Any one use one regular whats your thoughts? Know the imp is based on one so must be good base and like to do my own fetling so just wondering how people find the standard out the box version Will be in the .177 flavour if decide on one Look like a modern updated 35 Cheers

    Well had half hour this morning with it and was instantly unhappy with trigger was awful so stripped back down was full of grease and gunk Removed all parts gave good clean them used dremul to polish all metal to metal contacts splash of oil rebuilt and much better the pull is still pretty heavy so may bend the spring in to make lighter . Couple of pics then put 6 shots through chronograph and got these readings can't argue with that

    Well I was up at his workshop for 4 hours today we got new guide in and top hat all greased up etc and now shoots a dream very very little recoil and no more horrific twang put around 30 shots through it and its settled at a very consistent 11 ft lbs exactly stays in the 11.0s too over moon with it he even made a very neat cover for back of action too as they just have a cer clip and o ring as standard finishes it off perfect I'm really going to enjoy this gun was worth all the effort ive put in, he even made me another spare guide as I may be tempted to do 1 in .22 at some point.     Hand on heart it shoots better I got 3 springs to try in it today but needed a big spring to do anything over 6 ft lbs there was not a lot of recoil just a harsh twang from guide

    Yea I saw that was bloody cheap too , this was not nice to shoot as a rammer and a git to cock

    Quick update all parts been made he has spun the piston and shaved the rebate indie that the RAM o ring sits in as caught on spring new complete delrin guide and top hat and pre loads should be smooth as now ! We rebuilding it at his and fiting a securing pin through so IL add pics while there Cant wait

    No worries It's not a cure but helps find the twang

    Not got 1 for pro sport but Yea do that but don't fire too many shots as will chew up and clog up but it helps eliminate the guide no twang with some insulation tape ta da problem found ! Then look into delrin guide hope this helps mate
