I had the same problem.
Unfortunately mine turned out to be a cracked regulator so I chopped it in against a new gun yesterday.
If you are intrested I have a brand new all in packaging full service seal kit for gun regulator and bottle ring with a how to dvd obviously I don't need it any more if you want it pm me 20 posted should cure your Problems IT'S Probably Leaking From Your Reg If Bottle Holds Air Fine But Also What moxy Said Try Bottle O Ring
Found the leak it's coming from in between this joint on the regulator
so will hopefully sort it with the new seals stripped it down tonight and rebuilt back up without affecting the power so hopefully got good idea of the internals now waiting for parts to arrive and will update
Was in 2 minds about shifting this on but going to stick with it just ordered this
Check out this item I found on eBay: http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=171418866966&alt=web
so will keep updated on the progress with the service as the leak is back guessing it's in the regulator
Think I've managed about 4 mm got the power to 10.4 now it's creeping up as I shoot it more
when you say re set the trigger what do you mean as never needed to before just normally catches to piston on 1st cock?
New scope arrived today was testing it with a wonky 6x40 with new glass I'm so amazed at this little rifles accuracy brilliant gun bet .22 version smooth as silk
Screw cut and weihrauch mod next
Yea probably going to although it shoots nice at min and power seems to be creaping up.
I made a little tool to remove the squares with a old small screwdriver just bent the tip
Hmmm wondering if it was trigger now.....
Thanks again mate, can't wait to take it down the permission one evening this week. If its a successfull outing, I'll do a write up.
No worries mate . Anytime!
Nice1 Daryl glad you happy with it I couldn't put it down either once id finished it I put around 50 shots through it to ensure ID cured the cocking fault :-) and loved every one of them its a real cracker that gun mate
I was having this problem last week I ended up just doing a total random circle shape all facing different directions and that brought a few in worth a try maybe????
I normally do a v shape and a crow and magpie at each end works 9 times out of 10
I got one off moxy on here a while ago fantastic little rifles
I tuned it up for another member on here got it shooting very smoothly at 11 ft lbs did full job on it and sold it very cheap looking back I wish I kept it we put 410 cartridges out at 40yd and it could hit the cap and pop them fantastic gun
Think all I did was new spring new piston washer reblued it and good spit and polish ID have it back any day !!!!
Looks like you doing a cracking job :-)
Just to add didn't leave all internals dry as always used a ptfe based silicone (couple of drops) on piston / washer and Abbey lt2 grease on main spring around half a sugar cube worth , still trigger polish to do yet
It was flattened and polished tom not a bad job either these little 99s are brilliant build quality for the price
I've made another piston sleave from tin same as the v mach ones and just fitting it now
They come with the improved cocking arm as standard now with the delrin insert instead of roller I thought that was a sfs part but aparantly not!
Looking forward to getting it shortened and screw cut and up to the range
Well I've been on with the tune for this today I started by fully stripping it down to investigate all internals.
I was surprised how pumped with grease they ate from factory very sticky stuff too so cleaned it all up and began messing with pre loads and made my own piston sleave from thin tin I later removed this and made one from plastic really quietend it down the guide was already delrin so made a top hat from a old spring guide I had knocking around
Trigger full of clear vaseline type thick crap
Piston all cleaned then the top hat on spring
Overall pretty happy sh
