  1. my pup is 6months and she's going through the exact same ignorant stage! most people i've spoke to say its just a phase!
  2. reddawn- yeah i'll give what you've said a go, thanks a lot for the help though! much appreciated also i've looked at other posts and seen a few people recommending a dvd called 'Purdey's Progress' so i've also ordered this to see if it can be any use to me!
  3. reddawn- yeah i do get annoyed with her because it takes sometimes over 40mins to get her back no matter what i try. i'll add the majority of the time this happens when its just me and her, when im out with other people she tends not to do it or for maybe a short 5mins. littlefish- yeah i've tried walking away and she'll either run past me, or as i turn be at a distance just out of reach and bolt off in the other way. this has not long started happening because before the recall was coming on well and im just thinking myself and what other people have said about it being a phase at a c
  4. thanks for the advice Reddawn, i have tried standing my ground and in the end she decides to walk off as she pleases, what would your opinion be on a long lead trying the recall from gradual distances and then back to using no lead:)?
  5. Stella- SalukiXBullGreyhound pups coming on very well now! apart from recently when walking she's fine recall is fine, but after about 15-20mins of walking she will not come back when called, stands about 3meters from me and bolts when i try to get her :S, i've tried treats and this doesnt work, its only by chance i seem to get her back! my friends who have older lurchers say this may just be a phase, just wondering if anyone else has an idea of what i could do or have had a problem with this? thanks for all help if given:)
