  1. Well i do this aswell And this And this And sometimes i just like sitting down and doing this Nah not a wanna be...im a do'er NOW THATS
  2. Like i said earlyer...find your own cheap traps And i dont claim to be a pro I just enjoy vermin control, somthing ive done for an awfull lot of years.
  3. I cant set a trap on this farm without it being within a few hundred yards of a Badger set, and badgers will travel miles during the night to find food...my traps are easy taking for them, so Yep i love cheap trap's.
  4. These are a few pictures of one of the farms i lookafter and it show how close i set my traps to badger sets. This set run's about 120 yards across this field, my traps are set inbetween the fence posts as ive already cought the moles that where in the feeding grounds. I leave a few traps like this as it stops any mole getting back into the vacated feeding ground..Prevension is better than cure in my opinion. A trap set in the fence line. There was a trap here a few nights ago, till the Badgers took it, deffinatly with a mole in the trap. The evidence of Badgers feedin
  5. Well theres a point, the cheap traps iv got are far stronger than those from primrose..i got a few of them sometime ago..ok they kill but i ive said the ones i got from europe and flee bay are still far stronger than the fenn..and there supose to be professional mole traps. I dint put the clip on of a dodge trap, it was someone else. And if id bought traps that performed like that, theyd be getting sent back pronto. Fortunatly i havnt had any trap go weak, or not work yet..apart from fenn traps.
  6. Find your own cheap traps lol...ive had enough stick on here to last me a life time. Im not the kind of bloke that enjoys argument and snide comment but i dont roll over like a dog either..exscuse the pun..il defend myself.! Its like i was saying..the traps arnt chinese...there from europe. We have a farm in central europe cz republica and a good few of my traps come from there on my last visit. I also picked up some as equally as good on flee bay. Il stick a few pictues on soon of traps i have laid between fence posts..one of wich was taken by them black and white fffffflipin badgers lol
  7. Ahh get it right John...arm chair vermin controller...lol.
  8. Plenty of mole catchers use the fenn trap...but another mole catcher put me on to these cheaper traps and it just so goes there ok traps that ive used for two seasons..and there as strong as they where and killing just as good as my Fenn traps...so yeah..i think cheap traps are fine as long as there doing the job. Its a forum..and i can have an oppinion like all.
  9. I use genuine Fenn traps and cheap traps..thing it the cheap traps i have are good cheap traps..and the springs are stronger than the fenn springs. Thats all ive said all along but for some weird reason i get greef for using them. Not sure exactly what trying to be proved here.
  10. All my work is within yard of sets..somtimes there in use and somtimes there empty. As for the messiah bit brac..i think its very much established who thinks there the mole catching messiah's and its not me..im just a poor cheapskate vermin controller that ownes a sh*t load of cheapo mole traps but can catch moles and pleanty of them. INT MOLES BRILLIANT.??
  11. There you go again..prodictable matt. I'll keep my oppinon on what i think of you to myself lad.
  12. Whats the cheapskate thing about lol...my cheap traps have got stronger springs than my fenn traps..fact and they sell between £6 and £13...MADNESS.!! Im not going to get into a silly rant with you two again..ive had my say and that will do me.
  13. Le Brac your so far from right there..how can i lose traps that are markerd and there on the same hedge line?? You seem to think you know whats happening to my traps and your in tim buk too..how bazzar is that? Matt your wrong fella..ive just told you ive spoke to several people that trap mole using cheap traps. Its poinless telling me whats what at my end when you genuinely are just assuming...your both pritty good at tying to pull people strings. You must have got on the phone or email and decided to have another pop at my posts lol

  15. Another thing is..theres alot of foxes and badgerd around the farms i look after and recently iv lost 5 traps, the most recent was this morning when i went to empty them. When i lose a trap im losing £2 but if you lose a trap whats it cost you? Ive had 40+ moles this week and im very much quids in still.
  16. Oh right...and i take it you know these gardeners on a personal basis Matt? Funny because ive spoke to 3 lads over recent weeks that trap moles and there using cheap talpex types aswell. One of them is a pest contoler aswell. Its ok coming out with silly comments Matt but its reality that matters. You must be making a few bob promoting these expencive traps lol.
  17. This is the thing though..i dont let people talk me into anything..i go by own experiance..ive had 41 moles this week using cheap trap. Ive had most the traps for two seasons and there as good as the day i bought them. Each to there own at the end of the day. By the way the traps are still being sold on ebay and there selling in the hundreds and keep getting relisted...so somebodys buying them and i doubt its the antis buying them so mole catchers cant kill moles with them.
  18. Think we'll have to get the forensic's on this one lol. It looks like a camara trick to me :-) Atb Marty
  19. Excellent pictures..ive never seen out like it. Rabbit traps are about to go up in value by 20% lol. Think il get those traps after all. No offence ment in my earlyer post...i quite simply didnt expect that. Good info aswell.!! Still dont think you could trap as many rabbits as i could shoot in a place highly populated with rabbits as that though...no offence ment. Atb Marty
  20. Ok micky if you say so. By the way..that pop gun takes alot more skill than a 12bore and ive killed rabbits at 84 yards with it. I doubt trapping will out do me behind my pop gun lol..
  21. Dont trap em..just blast em.!! Nah never botherd even trying to trap them, but i know of a HMP that trap them all the time and a bloke picks them up in his van and releases them somewhere else..so there must be a bit of an art to it. I think you get better results if your using more than one trap at anyone time..not that i know why. Ive seen rabbit traps on ebay and it says they work better if you use a pair of traps..maybe its just so you buy a pair instead of one but i think thats unlikley. Ive been thinking of buying a few to have a go..but never get round to it. Anyway thats a pritty go
  22. I would say that if you're getting barrels plugged regularly you need to look at your trigger settings perhaps. Its the first id set. From what the bloke told me..it tuned but its a new trap so maybe not. Il see him later and find out.
  23. Nice one Tom..i checked my traps lastnight...out of 4 talpex type i had 3 moles...the barrel was stuffed full of soil. Back to the drawing bord lol.
  24. Do you spread this kind of advice around your own forum,as well John ? Nothing wrong with yorkshire pudding, you just got to get the mixture right
