f**k me weve got a major contract here over a concrete slab cause a dogs got cracked pads put some sodo cream on them .my feet crack in summer with me sandals on if the dog dribbles and got cracked tootsies put a bowl of water in the run probably dyhydrated germelin betacel sort it not a major construction ive never heard of such crap in all of my coursing career . im sure fens far does it for a reaction .fens far my balls are cracked got anything :laugh: :laugh: stop laughing at him you will make him worse

don't you start aswell, I wasn't being cheeky that is what he said, believe me my pup can already pour on a good sprint at 6 months old, yours is probably a bit slow pinky because you only take it out the kennel once a week and it hasn't developed properly

I though it could be the limestone powder coming threw affecting the padsthink your on the money there mate, i had simular problem with sores on the back end of my dogs ball bag from sitting looking out the pen gate all day. After alot of time and trying different meds/creams i figured the mix in the concrete wasnt right, too much lime. I used a standard garage floor/ driveway clear sealant , started to improve immediately, and problem gone completely in about a week.. doesnt have to be anything too pricey, once youve put a barrier between lime and dog, jobs oxo , hope that helps you

I've always kept dogs on concrete no problem, just think this last pad I've had but down is a bad batch, bit powdery, don't like dogs on saw dust, to dusty gets on there chest

Cheers for replys so far, the concrete base has already been down for nearly a year, I've noticed the my 6 month old pup has got cracked pads and I think it's the concrete what's causing it because if you rub your fingers on surface of the concrete it leaves a light white powder which I think is drying the pads out, was thinking of concrete floor paint, anyone tried it

Can anyone tell me from experience what the best type of sealant is to coat a concrete dog run with, something that doesn't make the run to slippy when wet and doesn't start coming off when shovelling shite

the sun will get in round the edges and the front so they can lie in it if they want, but it will also provide shade in the middle on really hot days

I'd put a solid roof on it to keep the run dry in the winter because if there out in a wet run it all gets trapsed back in with wet feet and gets all the bedding wet

seen that dog run think it was that or a bitch but diff outa same litter old mc friend owns it good dog run well on really dry hard conditions. yes it was Lennys bro what you seen run, feathered dog, did it catch a couple when you seen it
