  1. Sounds like a tesco value pot noodle... wait til the papers get hold of it!
  2. Oh! Lovely. That rifle is handsome.
  3. For sub 12 ft/lb shooting .177 all the way! Great post by the way, and superb response Archie!
  4. That I did not know! You got a link Tony? That would have to be one tight British barrel surely, they'd dribble out a German one I would have thought...
  5. Tx200. HW97 overpriced new, the kt is more expensive than a walnut prosport I believe. New Prosports have some wear and tear issues I'm told.
  6. Nice one! Have you got any gun porn for us? What's the rabbit population like your way? They're thin on the ground here....
  7. Manufactured in an era when British engineering and its Arms manufacturers were admired worldwide for quality, the Webley Omega is the epitome of reliability and function. Built to last and serve its owner faithfully for a lifetime, this example is in aged yet good condition. Untampered with, it retains a spring as its powerplant, NOT a gas ram as per recent fashion. Supplied with a tin of Eley Wasp 5.5mm .22 pellets and an original Webley 4x32 scope, this rifle is a buyers chance to step back in time to recapture a misspent youth and a bit of good old British History and Pride!
  8. I don't have a spare, but I'm fairly certain gunspares.co.uk will (expect to pay good money!) Good luck!
  9. Ah great news Andy. Keen to hear your thoughts and criticism on it when you've finished it. Sent yours out today pianoman. Thanks chaps!

  12. You need only read here http://www.reviewcentre.com/reviews3312.html "Legendary Rifle" is a term that has become rather cliche but I believe many if not all would agree such a description is fitting for this .22 multi pump pneumatic icon. She has seen some use, that much is evident. But by golly she is in very respectable condition given her age! She pumps smoothly and holds air. 13. A HW80k of any interest? .177, sling, silencer, realtree camo stock. In Stroud glos happy to come to you. No need for the bottle. PM if interested, can send pics. Cheers.
  14. In my experience a pcp requires little more than a rough understanding of trajectory. A print out of hold over/under on your lens cap and there is little left in a shot aside from pulling the trigger correctly and maintaining your hold. That's great. In fact, its quite incredible. The soul less part is most striking for me when target shooting. I accept your opposing view however. Each to their own eh.
  15. I hear where youre coming from. PCP is soul-less shooting. Fast fire earring is where they come into their own and few come better than the 100.
  16. short rifle, 1580s, from French carabine (Middle French carabin), used of light horsemen and also of the weapon they carried, of uncertain origin, perhaps from Medieval Latin Calabrinus "Calabrian" (i.e., "rifle made in Calabria"). A less-likely theory (Gamillscheg, etc.) connects it to Old French escarrabin "corpse-bearer during the plague," literally (probably) "carrion beetle," said to have been an epithet for archers from Flanders.
