  1. Sounds like a really fun experiment. My initial concerns are; Durability against elements and knocks. Warping? Shrinking and expansion, specifically at the point it attaches to the barrel. Benefits could be; Low cost, Matches the stock! Hehe Pigeons imagine they're staring at a branch!
  2. And Mawders was a devout .22 man. Not any more!
  3. You're like me in that respect, if she were .177 she would be a keeper for me. I like thumbhole stocks. What don't you like about them, thumb position? That said, not all are good for me owing to my rather short digits.
  4. Would a custom walnut thumbhole .22 77 be of interest?
  5. I'm disgusted at the lack of dribble material.... Where's the pics?!
  6. My mates just got battlefield 3 today! I'll make him add you. Mawders, could you review the chopper gun too?
  7. Give him a call and see if you dont get invited round for a cuppa. Cracking guy is Woodfield Will
  8. Ohhh yeah, If ever there were 'pin up' rifles, the R10 and Prosport would be mine... Sexy!
  9. I'm the same in that regard. I've heard, and had, good experiences with Air Arms. Never dealt with HW/Hull cartridge (despite owning many) which i suppose is good as I never had to!
  10. Excellent buyer, straight as an arrow, a real pleasure to do business with.
  11. I expect anyone going to purchase a PS this weekend will have done quite some research already and hardly likely to be put off by a single review whatever its content. I agree that such a large outlay would generally be carefully explored and thought through, it does sound like Mawders has something of note to add. He's a meticulous chap and writes well, we should get some 'glamour' pics too! I'm salivating!
  12. get that pro sport review/experience written lad. sure there are plenty interested Here, here. Great post Mawders.
  13. If thats the one youve posted pics on here of she looks a beauty! Wish i had £450 so I could have second refusal.
  14. There was one in south wales on gunstar for £250 I believe. Was a couple of weeks back mind. Good luck, will keep my eyes peeled.
  15. So a tuned 97kt is untampered new prosport money...moot point though with Mawders' experience. My feeling is, for the money, Tony Wall shouldn't really be able to do much to them. As Mr Wall is quoted as saying is the case with tx/prosport. Hence my verdict, HWs new, are overpriced.
  16. www.airgunbuyer.comits blackpool air rifles website. those prices were correct at the time i posted my post. obviously if you shop around you could find different prices for different models of rifles. that was just a direct comparison of blackpools prices. Much appreciated Skot. I don't feel i was far out really Si, and whilst the "overpriced" comment was a poorly expressed opinion rather than fact, I will endeavour to attach sources to similar posts in future to avoid upset. I'll also try buttering tony wall up. You never know i might reap rewards on rrps!
  17. Some of those prices seem high skot? What are your sources (im on the mobile so thanks for looking and posting those)
  18. Not checked but look at allcocks, isnt a beech prosport circa £439?
  19. What a BEAST that HW77 is! Finally got my hands on one tonight...beautiful.
  20. Mike have you tried researching the prices before posting this buddy? If you did you will find that in Blackpool Air Rifles the AA TX200 rifles and Pro Sports beech and walnut are more expensive than a HW97KT. I'm not sure why you think that they are over priced. If you look at 90% the winners of spring rifle HFT this year they either use TUNED AA TX's or HW97K's so either way they are tuned mate, and from my personal opinion the HW97s seem to be alot more popular. Yes, but evidently not in the right place, £500 for a kt was the last I saw. Prosport walnut circa £489 Tx200
  21. Provisionally sold to forest of dean redneck. Thanks chaps.
