  1. Anti bear trap introduced to the mark 2. Both Mk1 and 2 look similar to the Hw97 on which it is based. Then a lighter, better balance to the mark 3 along with a bull barrel and beautiful stock.
  2. Thank you for the kind words and great pointers timmytree.
  3. Thanks for the opportunity and the food for thought Tony. I hope the links were of use and apologise I could not answer in more depth. This is partly due to relating only that which I have personally tested and experienced as opposed to regurgitating what i have read or been told, as well as being limited in knowledge and imagination. Perhaps others may contribute, in this or other threads, and further the education of us all. It is certainly an area i wish to follow up in future posts most likely over the coming winter.
  4. Thailand...nice! Bamboo scaffolding flexing in the wind and under load is a sight to see!! Thanks Wurz!
  5. You're welcome Whizzie. Cheers!
  6. Just ordinary beans give me the Favas and I've yet to discover a nice Chianti, most tend to scowl as they walk past.
  7. Thankfully in my case your recipe doesn't require an oven. Though if I got my backside in gear and dodged the showers I could have a cob one constructed in a jiffy...
  8. Aha! Thank Ye Mole. The kitchen will be informed of this tastey tip!
  9. Everyone goes hunting the day/night before and brings their spoils. Nice big fire and a large pot, jobs a good un. That said there are still loads of hazelnuts and blackberries about...
  10. every so often a gem sparkles amongst the rubble , just when i thought this forum harbours every illiterate twat in ENGLAND someone with a few basic litracy skills appears Haha many thanks for the chuckle and the compliment!
  11. Tah gamerooster. Agreed kanny. Regarding 'poor' I specifically said "financial poverty" and "monetary value" as often such people are rich in things that are above valuation.
  12. I had the pleasure of receiving a communication from a forum member today. He wished to know how he may reduce the waste and fully utilise the parts of the animals he hunted. It was/is a firm belief featuring heavily in the mythology of hunting tribes that to do so is to honour and respect your prey, to neglect to, a sin and a crime. I may know a smidgeon more than many regarding this field, but I cannot by any means claim to be an expert. I would guess they live in Africa and the Rainforests of South America, but I shall do my best in future posts to share what experience I do have and the
  13. Yup, my chrono showed just 2fps variation using crosman premiers straight out the tin. Probably the most consistent gun I've had if it keeps that up. All for £180 brand new. Less if i'd skimped. Blisteringl accurate to boot and yes, HIGHLY customisable and very well catered for by people like Rowan engineering and GMAC Custom parts. Both will sell you a multi shot conversion. Not counted yet but I read 100 shots in .22 and 60+ in .177.
  14. Whoever held that marker pen has a steady hand! Nice one.
  15. Don't forget the ag1 on/off valve... In fact, I'd let you have mine for cost price just so I can do it again!
  16. Have look at the thread BEARINATOR posted, on it is a link to my research files and includes the 78. Welsh Willy will be your next stop.
  17. I did, but used it up getting a benchmark power level. The bottle gauges foul the barrel necessitating removal so a quick swap back isn't feasible. Don't like those disposable bottles either, what a waste, have kept it to reuse as something useful. Not sure what yet, but it'll come.
  18. Oops! Blooming phone! http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/262061-qbxs79-22-co2-conversion-to-pcphpa/page__view__getnewpost__fromsearch__1
  19. Moles right, here's how I did it. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/262077-customer-review/#entry2821963
  20. I don't dispute any of the above but a few points; £55!! I paid £99! The 78 can also be converted to hpa but it ordinarily involves either a specific pcp tube replacement or a remote line. Accuracy wise the 78/79's are excellent. Used with a quality pellet many owners claim to be able to give s400/410's a run for their money. One chap in the US of A had pics of him shooting and winning an FT competition! Personally, I dislike co2. Mainly due to the consumption of those capsules. Mine was doing 7.9ft/lbs before tuning, 9.4 after a breech seal change and finally just over 11.5ft
