    thanks again bud thats very clear i was thinking of getting some signs done anyway and thats confimed it if my application is sucsessful, the foot path cuts straight across the feild and doesnt run up the back of any hedges wich is lucky as the hedgerows are going to be my main backstop.as ive mentioned before the land is very flat and featureless.. im just getting everything straight in my head before i go for it ....thanks everyone for your help and advise. kanny

    i had a meteor when i was kid a good little gun i loved it i had a relum tornado also. ive had a look at the ultra a very nice little gun but a bit pricey for a first gun. ive only just got back into the guns after a15 year break so im not upto speed on whats around now days. cheers kanny

    whats the deal regarding foot paths and fac wepons? one part of my permision is a 100acre feild with with a footpath running through it .am i going to be able to shoot this feild with a small calibre wepon kanny

    good post matt thanks for taking the time.same to everybody whos replyed.im starting to get the feeling that its very much down to personal prefrence just like the old 22 vrs 177 in the air guns im a solid 22 fan when it comes to airguns . keep em coming lads im enjoying being educated. kanny

    alot of the land i shoot is very flat so any missed shots would be striking the ground at a very low angle the negitive point i made before about the .17 hmr breaking up easy has now turned into a positive in my mind am i correct ? is it harder to get a ticket for one of these calibers over the other? im not fussed about the round price within reason. kanny

    now this is where im worrid as one conviction did come with a short stay at one of her majestys finest by the magistrates court.. it was 4 months for a common assult however this was overturned after just one week by the crown and i was released by a top judge who was seathing at the magistrates sentence on me as i was obviously acting in self defence the other was drink driving on a moped when i was 16. but thats all never even had a speeding ticket...what do you guys think?? have i blown it? kanny

    i have to agree the more im reading the more the.17hmr is standing out as the leader it seems to be a much safer and versitile round with safe being my main criteria. whats the .17hmr like on noise? kanny

    Thanks lads ive found some good information on wickipedia about these rounds i will look into more over the next couple of weeks and do the pros and cons im not in a rush but hope to be up and running for the stubble late this summer if all goes to plan. im still intrested in what other shooters think so feel free. kanny

    LR WMR HMR HM2 And what would you guys say is best for rabbit? lets say 80yrd think i will be going for a .22 some of my land is rough grass and ive heard that the .17 break up on the slightist brush with veggation is this true?... im going to be asking a few questions over the next weeks so please bare with me lads. kanny

    its more a question of remembering the dates of the convictions for the application form kanny just put carnt remenber the exact date and just put the year, there more equiped than you to find the exact date i guess so.... just want to get things as right as i can. kanny
