i know were you lads are coming from but first of all my granda has a lot of land with rabbits on it and he lets me do it so i thinks its great its increasing the numbers by loads ! anyway icant get about the place to great spots to when ever i want ! thanks for your comments!

well my mate has a big lop eard pett rabbit its a big buck! i was reading on the internet that if a buck rabbit domesticated) breeds with a wild doe it will produce a bigger litter than wild buck bby upto 6 - 7 rabbits a litter ! this is why he keeps it he will go off ferreting then come back with the does put them in the pen for 10 days then relase them after they have mated he will then relase them on his permission ! what do you think of that for goid thinking!

get your self 2 drill batteries and a yellow lamp out a b&m bargins you can cut the connecters and wire it up put 2 screws put the wire rond them the put into the battery and tape up with insalaring tape!

cant beat ground setts but they can go deep if you have to dig think i know were the best place in ireland is cos i herd few people say it lol gud luck every one hunts it i think!

A good question. The obvious answer is where you think the rabbits are going to bolt too. That sounds crass I know but it is the truth. 5 yards of net in the right place will always catch more that 100 yards in the wrong place. It shows your actually thinking about net placement and that is a good place to start when using long nets. I do one hedge where one side there is a 3 acre field and the other side it is a 100 acre field. On the big field side I place 5 yard stop nets at 40 to 50 yard intervals to catch the rabbits bolting up the hedge as there is nowhere else near for them to r

can you put your ferret in a warren in a massive spoil heap of the old brock or would that be desterbing a sett? or dangerous the the ferret ? -
caught three rabbits in my spun poly yellow nets and one in a gemp net! what i dont like about the hemp it semms to curl up abit! but each to there own good luck

ah aye she's doing grand ! but the spot we were at yesterdapy was a nature reserve there was loads more setts to do but we just done them and left we dident want to da all them were gunna hit it in 2 weeks time ! me me two ferreting buds and me da an me to freinds from drogeda are heading to a spot wich i think is the best spot in ireland ! but the spot we were at and most of the setts at the best spot in ireland are all ground setts! so handy enuf done! good luck lads thanks!

was off ferreting today with my two mates and me da to a new spot done 4 setts got nothing then dont two one was a 40 holer one was 20 hole got 3 out of 20 holer an missed three holes missed three holes of the 43 holer and missed 2 rabbits out of it my albino bolted 2 mates poley bolted 3 so good day had by all ! plus 4 rabbits!
