  1. Has anyone on here actually said that he should go back in for longer? I certainly didn't, in fact in my first post I said his sentence seemed about right considering his mental illness.
  2. Our first animal was territorial and was a good guard dog but the saying their bark is worse than their bite is not true with the Akita. They don't bark all to often so a Shepherd would be a much better deterrent in my opinion. That's actually a good point pal, I can't say I've ever actually heard any of the akitas I've been around bark, even when they were threatening me at the gate it was all body posture and a very low growl, not ideal in a yard dog really when the noise is usually the biggest deterrent.
  3. I don't know about that, I've known quite a few akitas that were incredibly territorial you certainly wouldn't want to enter the yard when they weren't secure. They did always seem a bit out of control for my liking though, even if the owner welcomed you on to the yard they'd still need to be locked up. I do know what you mean about them not being like normal dogs though, very independent animals cat like is the perfect way to describe it. Most primitive spitz types are the same.
  4. Bloody hell I wouldn't fancy tangling with a presa x akita! The next village to me someone had a Bullmastiff x Akita, the thing was huge. There was a litter of rottweiler x akita by me a few years ago, they all grew up into huge out of control beasts, dare say they could have made handy guard dogs if they had ended up in the right hands.

Sorry stating facts hurts your feelings I guess. No, i believe it's your presence that hurts feelings, like most on this thread I wish you would f**k off with your treasonous views, if you can't stand behind our troops perhaps you should try standing in front of them.Aww the poor snowflake's feelings are hurt by being exposed to views different from his own :laugh:You and I are polar opposites, but we've never had a cross word personally. So, it saddens me to say that I think that your trend towards petty name-calling, baiting and fishing for cont

  9. I'm sure they do but the Akita was bred to be a hunting dog, from the experience I've had with them for over 20 years I can see it in them. Rubish the akita was bred as a fighting dog it was replaced by the Tosa and then was used for hunting elk and small bears it was primarily a fighting dog in Akita Japan Akitas were originally developed as fighting dogs during the Tokugawa period (1603-1925). Dog fights wera as popular in the Far East as they were in Europe and at that time, the prefecture of Akita was one of the two most popular dog fighting areas, the other one being the Tosa province

    Chronic Heartburn.

Do you smoke Ronny? Smoking can really exacerbate heart burn because nicotine relaxes the diaphragm allowing the acid to flow up into your throat, definitely worth considering knocking it on the head if you do even if it doesn't help with the heartburn!

    Chronic Heartburn.

Same as Chris I suffered from chronic heartburn that ended up with a nasty ulcer, after treating the ulcer I made some changes to my diet (much, much more fresh fruit and veg) and I've not really suffered since apart from when I over indulge or if I skip a meal, it's all about getting that balace right.

    Weed ;)

No little vices you want to be open about then walshie? I can't see anyone on this thread trying to justify smoking some weed, that would be as silly as trying to justify drinking a bottle of red........everyone has there reasons to wind down ;-) No mate. Vice-free me. Wearing women's underwear definitely counts as a vice pal...

Who's that then? My habit doesn't need justifying, I smoke because I enjoy it simply as that.
  18. And you'd never stand in front of an enemy force on a battle field either would you ...... Blackman couldn't manage that without losing the plot...

  21. Mate, that is a disgraceful comment ! He endured hellish conditions, doing a job that you or I wouldn't have the balls to do ourselves. He served his country with great distinction, and has endured his ordeal with fortitude and resolve that most can only dream of....A better man than most of us will ever be ! Ordinarily, he would probably be the first to admit that he made a mistake - but he was not in an ordinary situation. I, for one, salute him and his good lady wife - both have behaved with grace and dignity throughout this farce ! "Served his country with great distinction"? H
  22. Absolute bollocks. Unless you happen to have some kind of source for your ridiculous accusation?
  23. Half the MPs in parliament are convicted criminals? Really? I mean do you actually believe that? Actually convicted of crimes? Really?
  24. Still a convicted criminal and always will be 7 years sounds about right TBH seeing as he's mentally ill.
  25. I grew up in one and still visit regularly, plus the rental property I own in Bradford which is currently occupied by two lovely Muslim families You know nothing about me so why would you assume you have more knowledge and experience of a subject than me? Seems quite arrogant TBH. Bradford.......a great example of how and old English town can be improved by multi culturalism ! LolNow you're just being silly, Bradford was always a shit hole! Jokes aside, as Astanley points out, no it wasn't.I have travelled about the North a lot and you go to these towns and see the architecture......these wer
