Just a wee reminder baw everybody plays better with new darts honest. Six months down the line will tell you more, when you hit a bad patch if you think they are the darts for you then thats good.

So lets say you are just starting out its ok to try a few sets if money no object, got to ask is your board set up correct? Its so vital it is i.e. Height and distance.

With the weight its a wierd thing because not many pros use or dont seem to use high weights they mainly 24 and below, i started with 26 but mainly throughout i was 24g but each to their own.

Give me time im busy lol me and my big mouth, whatever tips you get they will vary from person to person but for me when i started at 17 and even at 18 ehen i played bristow i had a jocky type action being on 5.7 myself but over the next two or three years i ironed out my stance with your foot square to the oche thrn over time smooth my throw which came practice and match play so you can start there for now, and remember what dosnt feel right dosnt mean in aint, when you hit two treble twentys try and throw the third dart as smooth as you can because its easy not to.

The ideal way when you throw for treble 20 is to be cental to the bull so stick with that, when i was 17 i started slightly to the right of bull but slowly over the years got more inline, your throw action will or should tell you if you need to be inline or slightly off, a small amount of offlinement shouldnt be a big issue to being a good player just dont go.too far , i dont know of many i played with that was left of bull, ive had the luck to play darts with steve beaton and trina gulliver in my team which was a big buzz let me tell you, all the best baw in your persuit in hitting some big

Of course you need talent never said you didnt in my view practice learns you more, it took me to super league, county, and without winning in pro comps i competed well.

And with practice you understand how to queeze darts into areas you wouldnt understand without practice.

Practice will always take you there quicker in my view, but we all different.

Max and stig totally totally agree, the b.d.o. Is a stepping stone sad but true, i enjoyed my b.d.o. County weekends going away to the likes of humberside and montgomery and radner and seeing john lowe turn up to play against us in his lotus are the days i will never forget.

Grip is inportant you have got the feel happy with it but you not know until you have done 1000s of hours practice which is the key, stance is very inportant, going back to grip i used to move my grip when i started playing a bit below and needed a big game and it worked for me in some finals which was good.. Do your stand eye level to the bull or left or right?

The likes of besty stan bowles frank worthington rod marsh and dogleish would have made a impact im sure, main reason well just look how good they was on such sodden mud packed pitches but thats only my view.

I think we all have a rough idea how ckose to the limit we are but if you can leave 24 hours to be sure but sometimes you cant, try having a few one test breathalysers with you helps, a pal gave me some when i was trucking so i knew for sure ish.. I was once told by a copper half pint per hour leaves your system????

To be honest ive had my lot over xmas so thats me until june, plus new year is fake with people saying hi when for the rest of year they justxwalk on bye, makes me sick. But hey ho to those who do enjoy your night.
