  1. He was heavier on the weigh-in and heavier on the day of the fight at the check weigh-in. These days I think you can't put on more than 12lb after the weigh-in....
  2. He makes welterweight the same way any other fighter makes weight....making weight is a science do you think Kell Brook is the only fighter who cuts weight ?.........ive got a lad cutting 15 lb for a kick boxing contest next weekend done correctly he,ll be fine but that doesnt mean he should fight in a higher weight division......if size had no bearing on last nights fight are we to presume Brook cant punch or Golovkin has a granite chin ?.....most top middleweights would of taken Brook into the later rounds where weight plays a big part but Golovkin did what Golovkin does.He cut weight to mak

  4. Makes me laugh when all you hear is GGG only won because he's the bigger man, he's the better fighter full stop.... Both came out uninjured? Guess you didn't see the fight then? Kells in hospital now eating grapes, Golovkin broke him apart....

  8. Seriously watch the fight with no sound on, Brook doesn't do half of what appeared at first due to the crowd and commentary....I just mean the way golovkin walked him down with little to no attempt to slip/block shots. I don't think brook was or should have been ahead on the cards I thought he may have edged the 2nd but that's all. Two skilled fighters separated by size/power Brook probably won the second round, that's about it. Did the judges forget that Golovkin nearly had him out in the first round....

  11. Kell Brook finds Gennady Golovkin a leap too far - BBC Sport http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/boxing/37331950 A great review of the fight. It's true, Golovkin is like a serial killer. He likes to dismantle people with precision but he admitted he wasn't at his best, "instead I just broke him."
  12. Just because a fighter looks big and can absorb shots doesnt mean its his weight.........if he can still make welterweight what possible reason could there be for fighting above your weight........yes Brook may of looked big and strong and done well in the first half on the fight.......what about if it had gone into the second half of the fight where every fighter knows ( including Dominic Ingle ) that weight starts to become a big factor. He was heavier than GGG in there, he's been killing himself to make 147lb. You tell me how he makes Welterweight yet kept his strength, I'm guessing becaus
  13. I havent seen enough of him to know if its just the way he fights everyone but yes it would make sense wouldnt it......he doesnt show feints or move his head at all,and doesnt really jab his way in i truly believe its his footwork that intimidates opponents he seems to just glide into a space that as a fighter it can throw you that he has the audacity to be there....hard to explain but ive rarely seen footwork like it. Very true. I've never seen a boxer so able to cut down the space in a ring. GGG is a one off. Brook to his credit, briefly backed him up but the guy is relentless and he has t
  14. Tbh Brook didn't land that many, I rewatched the fight this morning without the influence of the biased crowd everytime Brook threw a punch. Even during Brook's successful spell in the second round he was still being busted up with shots including pulverisng jabs, hell it was a jab that did his eye in. GGG was trying too hard for the knockout and was headhunting, he neglected defence because he knew he could walk through Brook's shots, he wasn't stunned at all by Brook's bread and butter shots. When he's fought big punchers before his defence was way sharper. I disagree about Brook not
  15. Benn is my favourite British fighter but I think GGG would have stopped him badly. The man hasn't been wobbled once, would have been interesting to see how he would have taken a shot off someone with the power of Benn.....Loved both Benn and Eubank in their day both would of jumped at fighting GGG I doubt it...they both avoided Roy Jones Jr...and Benn admits that! They had both left Middleweight by the time Jones came on the scene. Jones was in the mix 90-91 when they was both still fighting at middleweight it was in the boxing papers at the time...Benn said years after he didnt want to
  16. Dreaming pal, name the price and I mean any price if you believe that rubbish...

  20. I think eubank has called GGG out again arctic don't know if its right but he said his corner don't own towels or something like that after kels effort its a bit out of order when he had his chance to fight GGG There's no towels? There's no balls in that camp either.... or pens...
  21. Maybe they can do something with it going to the hospital so early, luckily I didn't have any lasting damage apart from a scar.
  22. I'm having suspicions with this injury, he says he's having an operation next week. I've had a broken eye socket before and the doctors couldn't do anything about it because I didn't get it checked out till around 2 week after....
  23. Are you mad? Who caused the injury? Brook was going to get knocked out sooner rather than later, he was finished when Ingle threw in the towel. A great and gallant performance from Brook indeed but GGG systematically broke him down.....
  24. Because they didn't have anything better to play with....
  25. Fair play to him? If he was really ill I doubt he would go ahead with the fight.
