    Thats probably because he was seeing a lot of things that perhaps you couldnt see a fighter will see things that are a lot less obvious to a fan.....he breaks things down very well verbally but it can still be difficult for folk to understand the complexity of whats happening in there sometimes....you said Ward isnt an exciting fighter and no he,s not but that doesnt mean he isnt fascinating to watch technically sometimes winning a fight doesnt require an exciting shoot out it needs a methodical mind. I go to a lot of fights mate im used to watching without a commentary i dont get blinded by

    Met Earnie Shavers a couple of times on the door in Liverpool. A very nice chap. There more for status than actual work. Very nice bloke by all accounts, I do wonder what brought him over here in the first place.

    Seriously though if you can be assed watch the fight again with the sound down. Two of the judges didn't give Kovalev one round after the sixth, not one round?!?!?! Paulie normally does well but I can recall in the sixth round, Kovalev was clearly winning the round and all I could hear from him was how well Ward was was doing. Definitely some home grown cooking going off there IMO. Kovalev definitely won rounds after the 6th and if doing so he gets the draw and keeps his titles. Like I said, in my eyes it wasn't the worst robbery of all time but it was a robbery nevertheless.

    I really dont want to sound like a prick but a lot of fighters and ex fighters would appreciate the technical performance of Ward that straight out boxing fans would not of even noticed like i already said Kovalev won his rounds bigger and in a more obvious way but the way Ward was circling and off setting Kovalevs attacks up close was beautiful to watch from a technical point of view.....a big puncher like Kovalev doesnt want to be off balance when loading up and Ward never gave him the luxury of a static target he was constantly changing the angles it was a brilliant defensive display i gues

    You know when something is off when the debate goes on and on. I don't think there would have been half the outrage had Kovalev been given the decision. There's been worse robberies in the sport but Kovalev out landed Ward in every stat and scored a knockdown, he won the fight most people believe he did enough. I hope the rematch happens asap but I feel Ward will play funny buggers....
