    Hi everyone, i have just started working my young lurcher its her first season the problem ive got is if she misses a rabbit and it goes to ground in a hedge she still trys to find it and makes loads of noise trying to get into the hedge and more seriously she has got stuck a few times. Shes my first lurcher so any tips would be great many thanks

    Hi everyone its my 14 month old beddyxdeerxgrey first season working comeing up and I was just after a few tips on how to get them going on the lamp, I've done quite a lot of fitness work over the summer aswell as jumping which im very pleased with how its gone, she's retrieved a few shot rabbits so she knows what they are.     its a pain isnt it mate? either nothing about or they have a load of people shooting on there already its hard to find fresh land that nobodys got, also im surprised by how many farmers pay for syndicates to come from the citys that have big nights out getting the vermin when im local and will do it for free, confuses me that one You got it wrong, the syndicates pay the farmers for the shooting rights, so that they have somewhere to shoot!     Can't help you out, but how has he managed to end up with it all, if it was shared land you both found between you? got to the landowner before i could mate and made me out to be the bad guy, also he has fac so the owner was always going to take his side, it turned into no fun when he was just thinking about all the money he could make all im interested in is hunting for a hobby and putting some meat on the table, and no to the others who have posted i do not do anything illegal and hunting rabbits with dogs either in the day or at night useing a lamp is perfectly all above board an

The lad who I used to go with has got a bit greedy and wanted all our shared land that we got between us all to himself so I can't be doing with hom now, haven't got much land but am planning on going around to see a few farmers, haven't got any guns atm but got a lurcher who's ready to run, so if anyone wants some company give me a shout thanks

    Cheers mate, I've found a joist in the bedroom cupboard so I'll screw it into the floor, and one half onto the joist, then put a padlock on the cupboard and deadbolts on the door. Fort Knox they won't complain yh that should be more than enough pal

    my house is timber framed and i put mine in a built in wardrobe and used coach screws into the timbes, the feo was fine for my shotgun, ive done the same with my ammo box as i will be sending in for my fac soon, my friend who lives across the wall has a same house and he did this and was passed so not all doom and gloom mate

    sorry mate i should have said, my young bitch has been around a ferret and she wasnt bothered by it bit at all, bit scared if anything, the whippet hasbeen worked with ferrets by its previous owner so again should be fine, and i also realise this was the wrong section to place this thread sorry admin, if anyone is interested get in touch its great ground
