  1. Was out this morning at around 5.30 am with the pups, and took a couple of snaps of 'Lady' our new lurcher. I have been putting a few photos up every 2 weeks just to show shes coming on. at 14 weeks now she's 17.5" @ the shoulder, and coming on steadily. she had her first kill this morning........................pounced on a fledgling starling in long grass, then devoured it happy hunting......................................

  7. I must admitt I was a little suprised at how 'grown up' she looks already for a very young pup .......However....... while most folk are pampering their pups in-doors and feeding them puppy food...and lactose.............. my girl has been kenneled and walked along side the spaniel 3 times everyday...and fed on top quality nosebag......................so perhps thats whats built her up unusually quick. Ordinarily I wouldn't take a pup out so young, but when the spaniels was out with me, she used to raise the dead until we returned...so I figured rather than upsetting the neigbours,
  8. I need to to get her used to those birds!!!! I earn a living out of those.....( sorry...the wife does!!!!) I breed and train them, and the wife takes them to weddings, and funerals etc. in ornate baskets....best thing is they fly straight hope upon release. excuse the bump............www.dovereleases.co.uk
  9. 12 weeks old and growing like feck....here's lady me grey x 3/8 5/8 grey / bull X......... ..................the whole object of her life at the minute is to try and screw me spaniels head into the ground at any given opportunity!!!!!!...............the rough little bitch here she is
  10. here a picture of Harvey my 6 month old ESS pup and lurcher @ 12wks... he's a really steady lad and coming on extremely well.........Recall....... stay upto 200 yards..... stop n drop....... heel, retrieve, fetch only on command are all in place......just waiting for the nuts to drop so I can have 6 months of him completely ignoring me .

  13. was something I always wanted to do as a school leaver (many moons ago)......but I never had the backing from my parents, who forced me into something else.....now I'm a Chartered Surveyor!!! If you got the backing and are passionate about it....get on and do it lad................I certainly regret not having the balls to do what I wanted as a bairne

  17. does any one have of pictures of this cross please?????
  18. different strokes for different folks.................. each to their own................and own opinion......................................for me the young pup had a turn.....and red was dispatched in the quickest possible way given the situation... This is an open Forum and folk will interpret situations using their own terminology.....lets not bicker about 'the far end of Megs Arse'....................us hunting men get enough bad press as it is
