He was really pleased to see how much my circumstances have changed and that he can tell im in a much better place in my life then what i was when he saw me over 12 months ago. And told me he is giving me a glowing report and doesnt see why i want get me licence back all though its not guarenteed depending on what chief inspectors decission is but i have to wait about 3-4 weeks to hear. 3. i have had a few side by sides before i lost my licence. aya number 3 3inch magnum was my favourite. all though it is not stamped with the fleur de lys the chokes were open chokes and were ok to use steel shot through. and the last one i had was a laurona 3 inch magnum aswell both of these handled very well with standard 36 gram loads. but with the zabala would be a better option as stamped for steel shot and is multi choke and single selective trigger. plus as said they also do a 31/2 inch magnum side by side but it will kick like a donkey thats been spooked. personally if it was me i would

  7. Well rang the firearms unit today as not heard abything off them since i sent my application back in. Its with the chief constable at the moment with my medical records so should find out in a couple of days if they are going to process it or send back my cheque. Not holding my breath. 8. Thats what i thought but when cocking the barrel the pull down on the barrel feels the same so it doesnt feel like there is a loss of pressure i rang the guy who serviced it and he said to drop it in with him just hope its not going to hit me hard on the pocket. Thanks mate.
  9. Hi guys had my hw90 serviced about 4 months ago it was used a good few times but has been stood for about 2 and bit months with out use. Got it down yesterday to have a play in my garden set up a few targets the zero had dropped by about 2-3 inch and was right of zero by 2 inch and is no longer striking the target as hard as it was and the pellet isnt getting deformed. Now my question is is it possable for it loose its pressure through being stood for 2 months or was something missed from when it was serviced?
  10. Well took on all your advice that you all gave. Sent the forms off last wensday. So hopefully here something in about a week or so. Sent a little letter in like was advised kept it short and sweet but also trying to see if possable to see the chief constable to have a chat face to face as he should be able to have a better judgment of me. Im not going to hold my breath pray and ask for a miracle but all i can do is try and if told no then i will re apply again a few months after. But thank you so much for your help and advice i really appreciate your help.

  12. Hi guys got everything in place now to send back to my firearms licencing team. I was thinking of putting in a little letter in for them aswell but im stuck on what to put down. I have so far put down who i am and that i volunterly gave up my licence up 12 months ago and that my circumstances have changed in that time and that im willing to accept any terms or conditions that they see fit. Is there anything else i should put down that may help?

  15. I did consider asking the doctor to do a little letter for me to give the police to say he thinks im of sound mind but when i mentioned it to my fao he said its a good idea but he said most gps tend to ask for payment for such things and could be seen as unreliable as may have payed for him to say that. I have been ringing and asking my fao on firearms team lots of questions regarding this and all i am told is be open and honest which i am. As i said i have nothing to hide and im embarresed about my stupidity and horrid mistake but i have done what the fao said and waited 12 months from his p
  16. Cheers i visited my gp earlier this morning and explained what i wanted to do and why i was visiting. 17. Can anyone help me or at least give me some advice please?
  18. Whats the length of the chamber in your gun? If it is a 3 inch chamber then for geese 36gm 1s or bbs if its is smaller chamber you might be best getting some bismuth, tungstan matrix or heavy shot in 1s through hald and full but if your using steel i wouldnt use anything more then 1/2 choke. Your best bet is take your gun to your nearest gun shop and ask them to tell you what the chamber length is and ask what they reccomend.
  19. It is true to a certain extent in scotland theyv got the right to recreation. But only as long as the land is not owned by a club or nature reserve. But as jangles said give basc a ring and get more info. I knew of a old mate who went to aberdeanshire and did it a few years ago. So it is possable you could get some free shooting. But give basc a call and find out more.
  20. Those foamies are awsome. My mate sells the mike slater at riverside outdoors he supplies me with the deeks for my outings on my perms plus he also supplies alot of the guides in scotland and if i go with him get a bit of free shooting. But those deeks really do work.
