  4. Sorry to hear about your loss Ian, life is a bitch.
  5. I keep my dogs outside most of the time, pups stay in the house till theyre 6months old so they are house trained then they go to the kennel. My old spaniel and the bullX stay in because they dont trash everything. If my dog gets smashed up or is ill then they are allowed in the house. I must admit that I dont think I could cope with all eight dogs in the house at once.
  6. Cracking pics clipper. Looks like good ground you where on mate.
  7. Well in the summer I just have benches for all my dogs to sleep on. In the winter I have boxes the can go in. I used to use easy bed (cardboard squares) it was great stuff havent realy needed it this year because it aint been that cold for the dogs. Hay and straw can be dusty and hay harbours mites.
  8. I used to breed polecat hybrids we had one polecat that we were sure was pure 100% he was as magwich says almost black and would hold on to your fingers every time even with the gloves on. The reason we got him was we lost a gill when ratting and we were ratting the same place a year later and we saw him and dug to him and found the jill we lost with a litter of kits we took them all home and reared the kits and took a few litters off the hob. They were great workers but no bloody use on realy windy days for some weired reason and they had to be handled every day or they would go wild. The hob
  9. Nixy or any one were would I get hold of a stripping knife? I always strip my dogs but have been soarly tempted to clip them some times.
  10. I know what your saying foxtrack luckly we dont get c*nts like that up here and if we did they wouldn't last long. Atleast some of us have respect for our quarry unlike these b**tards.
  11. I have 4 jills and three hobs. Mostly polecats but have one white hob. All working ferrets dont work them as much as i want.
  12. Well i see it from both sides, I used to be a keeper when foxes needed to be controled so not to get in the pens with the birds. The other problem up here is that foxes dont go to ground very often, I lamp with rifle but I would rather get one either to ground or take it with the lurcher but beggars cant be choosers. I need to control foxes to keep my permision. I'll be lucky if i kill 30 foxes a year up here i have to travel to get work for my dogs.
  13. What do you lads, lasses think? Should you strip a terriers coat out or can you clip them?
