  1. He is used for fox, rat, coypu and will enter to badger this coming year, not in the UK I hasten to add.
  2. Yes helped by a little bit of lead
  3. So Im not convinced, All I can say is that the breeders have done more damage then our kennel club. I first hunted in Spain in the 70s and have been back many times since, the dogs are not the same and most hunters admit crosses with other sight hounds. Same a most trail Labradors here, on paper 100% lab, in reality various % of collie.!
  4. Interesting but didnt they once run pure breed same as our waterloo cup etc?
  5. yes but dipped with what? Henna, Potassium Permanganate or coal tar?
  6. The name of the chemical stain produced by the plant we call henna. It stains the pads deep and when run hard you can check if its worn through the pads by the colour. if the pads are worn to deep, they harden them.
  7. They use it to stain the feet as the lawsone has the greatest effect on the pads, going deepest into that part of the body. I used natural indigo for the same purpose.

  11. I have nothing to be jealous of, I done a great lot with my life, enjoyed it all, especially the hunting. If I never hunt again, or even take another breath I cannot complain because I have had more than my fair share. I truly wish others could experience the life Ive had, sadly this could never happen now.
  12. So someone who knows the truth.
  13. Not at all, a very quiet man when alive! bred more great terriers than most people will ever know, but he stayed below the radar and asked people not to use his name in public. He lived not far from Radborn estate in Derbyshire. When plumber was introduced to him, Plumber did his usual questioning and one was, "how come every now and then you throw a pure white smooth, when the rest are patch broken coats". You guessed yet?, answer was, " because I used a dog called the Hackett white," the story was retold many times afterwards but as usual the names were changed. The white
  14. You would need to speak with a certain man called Gordon Richards.
  15. Every time plumber wrote a book, showed up at a fair etc etc, there would be another bunch of sycophant's tuning up on his doorstep. when I say this, I do not say it lightly, there were countless thousands of wanabes that would follow his every word. Some of these were so badly hooked they stayed at his side for months on end doing his bidding.
