  1. Thank you all for the advice, one more thing- Chairgunned? Regards Dean.
  2. Hello all, I recently got some money for my birthday and am now in a bit of a dilemma. Having recently visited my local gun shop and having a go with a few PCP rifles, (Namely a second hand HW100T) I am unsure on what to do; I can either spend some money on the old HW77K OR look for a multishot PCP rifle and keep the HW for the odd outing, plinking and as a back-up rifle. Unsure on what to do The HW100 is a touch out of my price range, I could probably stretch my budget if needed, but £600 is a lot to spend. I have looked at a BSA scorpion T10 tactical-any good?
  3. my permission is bordered with woodland and i am having the same problem, i keep finding half eaten rabbits everywhere Beautiful things to watch, but not much fun returning with an empty bag because all the quarry has gone to ground. I keep seeing two herrings on there as well, but can never get close enough for a picture. ATB mate Regards Dean
  4. Thanks all, I have got around £300 that i Could spend? not saying i want to spend that much on just a scope mind
  5. Hi all, I am looking for a new scope for the HW77k, and was wondering if you would kindly recommend some? I have currently got a Simmons gold series 4x40, but would like a bit more zoom if possible, or even possibly adjustable zoom? All advice welcomed and since i Have got some money for my birthday may get a lamp and a silencer as well, will a silencer make much of a difference on a spring rifle? Thanks guys, Regards Dean.
  6. Might have to invest in a p7, it looks highly recommended! Regards Dean
  7. does the p7 come with scope mount? it says barrel mount? Regards Dean
  8. Thank you for the advice, I was simply thinking of having it tuned to make a great rifle better. I don't doubt for a second that 9 FPe would be suitable and up to the job in hand, But with me somewhat lacking in live quarry shooting, +11FPe is more likely to produce a humane kill if I WAS to muck up a shot But after having a go with a HW100t at the gun shop the other day,(What a Rifle!) The HW77k may become a second rifle when I save some money.
  9. thankyou i shall look into it Regards Dean
  10. yes new spring and all seals. Before I had it serviced, it was sub 9 FPe , the gunsmith said when he re-sprung it he had it up at 18 and had to pin it back! I am aware that it is a touch high, but did not want to be shooting any quarry with sub 9 FPe. I have been searching the forum and have seen a few names and tuners floating about; venom, v-mach, tench? I am thinking about having it tuned to make it a nicer gun to use, and hopefully pin it back a bit. has anyone had any experience with tuned wiehrauch's? I am going to have it over a chrono today all being well. Having never take
  11. When I say tuned I did not mean to up the power my friend, but just to make it a nicer rifle to shoot- blueprinted is it? or a v-mach kit ect? I know that it is a touch high. it has not long since been serviced, so im hoping it may drop a bit. how do you tune it down? Regards Dean.
  12. Thank you all. I will be shooting for both woddies and ferals, as there is a patch of woodland in the middle of one of my permission fields-perfect Mr mole- I will have a look for that thank you, I have ordered some of that camo that you recommended so will let you know how I get on with it Hopefully I will be getting a camo bet in the next few days, and hopefully some decoys- what do people find work best? Thanks for the comments on the rifle- I love it, I have been thinking about getting it tuned-its running 11.8-11.9 now so would it still be worth doing? Thanks all Regar
  13. Thanks all, gun shop was closed so no decoys or scrim net till tomorrow.
  14. well went out this morning but came home with an empty bag, didn't expect anything else really with it being a new field and all. I have noticed were the active warrens are And.. there's a hell of a lot of crows and pigeons, so I am off to buy a few decoys and try my luck on the flying rats Regards Dean
