  11. Well here is an update after a morning zeroing in at a lower distance, thought 35 was to long as suggested, so her we go, first pic shows my zero efforts and the second shows my target practice, i know i need more time target practice so still havnt gone for any quarry yet, hopefully its going in the right direction Any feedback always welcome good or bad lol http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad227/rikweller/053.jpg http://i938.photobucket.com/albums/ad227/rikweller/054.jpg

  14. Just got back from a afternoon at my new permission, me and a mate went i have a springer and he a pcp, now i liked shooting both, pcp for easy shooting, springer for feel of shot and exsperience. Will definatly be honing my skills with the springer as it feels good to shoot. Atb Rik
  15. I find u get more from the basc membership, yeah it costs more but from the two websites it looks more worth the money in my opinion, others may disagree
  16. Well finally got somewhere to shoot, by means of a friend he has got me in with a stable owner that has acouple of acres not too far away from me. So 7:30 last night loaded up the striker and headed out armed with me tripod pre set to give me a nice comfortable kneeling stance as we went for a wander I noticed there was a bunny up by the bush bout 20yrds from me so got down and quietly got him withing the sights, just bout to pull one off and just my luck the damn bugger hopped of into the bush. O Well onwards we went, The owner mentioned about a rats nest in the woods just under some old
  17. Yeah dont want to get too close to larry lol he may give you a bath lol, looks like a great place to bag afew bunnies, hope you have fun. atb Rik
  18. Kool sounds like a handy tool to have then, will deffinatly give it a go then. Cheers guys
  19. Hi guys have been busy knocking on doors in Aylesford Kent for my first permission, was told by afew people that they have arrangements with people and was wondering if anyone here is local to me so i dont step on other people patch. Would be good to hear from anyone as guidance is also needed for advice for getting a permission round here. Atb Rik
  20. Yeh i have a camera tripod that adjusts from a foot to about 5 ft has got a nice rubber pad ontop which feels like a firm stable base on the pre-shoot tests. Maybe worth a try as one of my main flaws is holding steady lol
  21. Hi guys me again just wondering if anyone has experience with shooting sticks? i assume being a break barrel it makes more sense to use these than a bi-pod that would fix to the rifle as this would make reloading a bitch, are they stable when aiming and can they improve accuracy? all feedback welcome atb
  22. Right well had a good night out friday, was gauging the rifle and found that i deffinatly need to zero in at a bit of a shorter range , found that i was overshooting most shots at medium ranges, dont worry it was all plinking and no live targets!!!!! Definatly agree with all the info about being better at a lower range, will also try some other pellets like the ones suggested and yeah it did give a bit of a kick will keep you posted with my success and thanks for all the support its all welcome and helpful. atb rik
  23. Yeah thats my plan as our permission is huge so i can set up some targets without disturbing my mate who will be on the hunt, fingers crossed anyway. I want to be confident with it before i aim for the quarry so as not to mame or injure. Its a shame i havnt got a local range to test at as this would be better in the long run. My garden is just over 10 yards so not a chance of distance shooting there but i have plenty of farms on my list around me to try and get more permissions. Rik
