I used to work and ride bikes as a teen and loved them, but as most do moved onto cars. a couple of years ago, having turned 40something i decided i was gunna get "back on the horse" and pass my bike test. I did my theory, my CBt and then completed both parts of my direct access. I now ride a Yamaha FZ6N and love it to bits, i still drive my car but the bike easily outdoes any journey i can have in the car and always makes me smile, the power and acceleration is amazing. My advice would be go for it but keep with in your riding limits and build up on experience. Hope that helps

Its quite easy to introduce if you keep simple and consistent. It would be nice to give us some updates on your progress. Good luck

Nice looking Lab. Its never too soon to start introducing the whistle, start with something simple like the stop whistle, walk the dog nicely to heal on the lead, a single peep on the whistle and stop/ stand still, small tug on the lead to make the dog sit....simple exercise, wait about 10 seconds then move off with the "heal" command. Continue this until the dog gets it 100% This not only helps to introduce the whistle but it also tells the dog that if you stop/ stand still he should sit at the same time.... You must make sure your methods are consistent... Please also consider trai

Yes i agree, take no notice of the companies that offer to deal with it for you....they will take a cut... I had a bank loan and a Visa card some time ago, I simply rang the bank and said i think i was mis-sold my ppi and they asked me a few questions and sent me a form to fill in, i did that and about a month later they sent me an offer in the post, easy peasy.

Hi guys i wonder if someone can offer me some help and advice? I have an Air Arms 410 with a Hawke MAP Pro 3-9 x 50 AO MAP and have some questions. I did some target shooting at 25 yards to try and get my head around the way the scope works. At that distance i was very consistent with my grouping, that was on maximum magnification and the paralax adjustment set at 25. One of the things i noticed was that when i adjusted the focus ring although the focus changed it didnt focus it quite enough to make the target really clear, what can i do about this? Secondly when i adjusted the p

Hi all, i wonder if anyone can advise me please? When i am out with my Airarms 410 i find it quite difficult to calculate distances and therefore will sometimes affect my aim and accuracy. i was considering buying a range finder but wondered what others do? Also, i am sure i have read somewhere that you can buy scopes with range finder facility, is this true? It would be handy to know what others do and possibly point me in the right direction Cheers Stephen

Hi guys me again.....i have another dodgy shotgun question i would appreciate some help or advice with Another friend bought an old Baikal O/U 12g some time ago as a first gun and it seemed to perform pretty well, apart from a noticeable heavy recoil... They took it to a local gun shop with a view to part ex it for something a little newer and i think the gun smith was appalled by its condition. Firstly he said it had an hair line crack in the barrel, which inevitably would get worse and probably become dangerous and secondly it had a great deal of play in the barrel area. When he rem

Hi, the gun was on the shelf at £400 but closing down sale deduced to £200.00, so i guess paying £150.00 for it fixing is still within the original price tag.
-
Just a quick update, we took it to the gun smiths and he said that the firing pin may have broken but there is what he referred to as "it has headache" meaning that there is some play between the way the barrel and the working parts slot together. Anyway he reckons on about £150.00 and a couple of weeks to fix, so we left it with him He did say that it was bordering on illegal and we should take it back, problem is it was purchased last week from Euroguns on their closing down sale so there is no chance of that....

Hi, thanks for the reply. When it fails to fire, no there is no attempt to strike the cartridge.... We are gunna take it to the gunsmiths tomorrow

Hi guys i wonder if anyone can help with a little advice please? A friend of mine has just bought a second hand Winchester 99, over and under, 12 gauge shotgun and they seem to be having a bit of a problem with it, i aren't sure the title is quite accurate but i will try and explain if i can... We were shooting some clays today and for some reason it seems not to always fire on the bottom barrel, its never the top just the bottom. Also when it does misfire on the bottom barrel and they break the barrel it ejects both cartridges rather than just the one that has been fired, its almost

Hi Guys, just thought i would share my joy. On Saturday i went out with a mate onto a local golf course to see if we could get some rabbits with the air rifle. I have been out a couple of time previously without any success. However this was a very enjoyable and productive outing, i bagged 6 rabbits with my 410 carbine. My mate then showed me how to skin and gut them, which i did 3 and he did three, took mine home and gave them to a very happy father in law who is going to make a stew.

Hi Guys can anyone offer me some help and advice please regarding waterproofing my boots? I have a pair of leather boots (can't remember the make) which are about 12 months old and have suffered a bit of scuffing to the front toe area and consequently now leaking. I would probably say that they are allowing water and damp to seep through the leather resulting in cold wet feet... What does everybody use to waterproof or re-waterproof their boots? Also what is the best way to put some colour back into the scuffed area? What i have tried so far is plenty of dubbing, wax polish and i
