Hi guys, can anyone give me some help and advice please. I am wanting to get involved in some rabbit and pigeon shooting with my Air Arms 410 and wondered what kit and supplies i would need to set up a decent hide? I know i will need a cam net and some poles, but how big does the cam net need to be? Any help or advice is much appreciated cheers stephen

Hi guys thanks for the replies. I do plan on visiting Swillingtons, they have been recommended by a few other people i know too and have been told they will look after me. When you say get the gun fitted, without sounding daft can i ask what is meant by that and what does it entail? Cheers Stephen

Hi guys, my intention is to use it for a little rough shooting and some clays. I guess my budget would be a £300-£400 maybe a little more dependant on what extra i have available at the time.... Cheers Stephen

Hi all, i am new to shotguns, just about to apply for my certificate and was hoping someone could give me a few pointers on a cheap gun for a beginner and some of the things to consider when buying? I guess in a way it would be like going to by a used car without knowing anything about cars... Also what are the pros and cons for side by side and over and under? I do have friends that could probably give me some advice too but the more i can get the better decision i can hopefully make. Cheers Stephen

No i made no modifications at all apart from to my wallet..... I also run my Vauxhall Vivaro van on it and i have been told by a few mechanics that it won't run on it because it is common rail rather than direct injection, but i have done for the last 6 months with no problems at all. If you have a look at the link below that is a site for bio producers, ask the questions on there, they are usually very helpful: http://www.vegetableoildiesel.co.uk and click on the discussion board link Hope that helps? Cheers Stephen

Hi, the best way to start is mix it 50/50 and gradually increase the bio to say 75/25 and so on until you are running it 100% All diesels should run on 100% well made bio, its when you try run on veg oil that you are more likely to have problems. One thing i would stress to you if and when you start using bio is to make sure after running about two tankfuls to change your fuel filter, this is a common thing where people have trouble, and then blame it on the bio, bio is a natural fuel and will clean all of the sediment and crap created by normal diesel out of your tank and fuel lines a

Shot gun certificate and possession questions
ste68blue replied to ste68blue's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Hi guys, just a quick update... Today i rang our fire arms officer and spoke to a very helpful lady, i asked about possibly being able to house a cabinet at my work premises and her response was that the only time the gun can not be housed at the owners home is under "extreme circumstances" and unfortunately my missus not liking guns in the house is not deemed as extreme enough. Also i asked about the possibility of being able to house a gun in a friends cabinet and what she said was that if i were to do that i would also need access to the persons house in case they were not in when i -

Shot gun certificate and possession questions

Do they have to be stored at a home premises or would i be able to install a cabinet at my work premises? Cheers stephen -
Hi all, i am considering buying a shotgun to do a little clays and rough shooting and when discussed it with the missus she is very against having one in the house. I have got the form to apply for my certificate and i need to ask a few questions...how do the rules work for me to store my gun in someone elses cabinet? If i fill the form in how do i say that i wouldn't be storing the gun in my premises or would i be able to store it at my work premises? Hope all that makes sense? I appreciate any help or advice anyone can offer Cheers Stephen

Hi guys i am a member of that site and the proud owner of a 2.7TDi Terrano SWB and the site has proved more than well worth a tenner to join. There are some very knowledgeable chaps on there who are more than happy to help in anyway they can. Go on spend a tenner. The problem you are experiencing is probably one of a few things, either you have a fluid leak or there is a "damper" pipe that runs from the slave cylinder to the back wheel arch that has probably corroded, have a look underneath and see if you can see any sign of fluid under there, either by the slave cylinder or the back

I work a male yellow/ fox red lab and i have never seen any chocolate labs on shoots, as already mentioned they tend to be "wired" differently. I am told by others that bitches are easier to train as males tend to be strong headed, mine certainly are, but they have bags and bags of enthusiasm so make up for it in loads. I do think you need to do your research and find a reputable breeder where you can see the parents, particularly from a working point of view. Cheers stephen

Nice looking dog lab-tastic, nice to see some more yellow labs, most working seem to be black
