  1. You've got to shoot them whilst they are there. Looks like you had a couple of half decent days there.
  2. That's intelligence for you........... There's nothing like using a well rounded ubiquitous expletive to add emphasis to a comment .........................
  3. Utter waste of time. The last 5 petitions asking for pistol reinstatement achieve naff all. This will be no different. Hardly a major political issue now is it?
  4. Anyone know what happened to this group? They set up a couple of training days along the line of the continental Schweiss hound tracking methods about 2 years ago in Hampshire /Dorset/ Somerset. But I've not heard much of anything else about them. Other than a few snippets.. Have they folded?
  5. Nick I never said the NOB's had failed. That was your assessment of the situation. What I said was. "I'm sure NOB's will survive one way or another. A bit of reorganisation, and restructuring, and some corporate sponsorship perhaps. Who knows. Que Sera Sera ..." We can only take your word for the number, frequency and individuality of visitor to your obsessive web site. What potential valuable resource has been frittered away. People choose to give of their time and cash. As with all things making that choice is still a gamble. If the revenue has been used to purchase the busin
  6. Any one going to stalkers meet The Angle Larling 25th Augst @7.30 NR16 2QU for the sat-navs
  7. Pure speculation on your part Nick.As you say no one other than the decision makers had anything to do with the process. What your IT specialist might be dumbfounded by could appear crystal clear to others that are full conversant with the decision and the specification. Clutching at straws is never a good way to proceed. If you think that some potential sponsors or the shooting media are going to bother turning over the pages of publish accounts or directors minutes of NOB's in the hope of finding some anomaly for you. Your going to be very disappointed. No ones that interested.
  8. Nick Better informed, Nah! Just less interested. There's hacking and there's hacking, as with all offences. Why bother keeping hard copies of such trifles if your not obsessing over some minor slight. I'm sure any corporate sponsor and advertiser worth their salt will ensure that they do their due diligences. Before committing to any expenditure. If they don't they only have themselves to blame. Web sites are notorious for "massaging" membership figures. Whether they feel its advantageous to them in their pursuit of advertisers I don't really know or care. Unless you were at the tabl
  9. Hi Nick TBH It was so long ago I have forgotten most of the details. From what I can remember everybody apart from those personally involved simply viewed it as little more than a storm in a tea cup. You have to admire the audacity of the guy who did it though. As he certainly achieved his objective. what I found the most amusing was he simply used known personal information to access the necessary element of the said sites admin files. Talk about leaving the door wide open! I'm sure NOB's will survive one way or another. A bit of reorganisation, and restructuring, and some corporate
  10. That's about the score of things. Although you can't legally send items that would be illegal in the country of receipt or the recipient has no legal right to own. You would also need to bare in mind the export rules of the country from which you sent them from. But no duty would be due as theoretically as a gift no payment was being ascribe to the transaction.
  11. Where have I ever said PUB's didn't work. What I have said is it's not particularly productive. 2 entirely different things IMO 90% of what number though. 9000 or 20. A small dissatisfied group that was starting to implode and chew at one another was the impression I got the last time I liked in. I have no interest in the past internal politics of NOB's or PUB's. Or their future politics for that matter. Just as I have no interest in hearsay. Although I admit that I did find it amusing when that web site got hacked( I can't recall what its name was, but I'm sure either you or Nick
  12. It depends upon how its described in the shipping doc. i.e sample, gift, warranty repair, or goods purchased. If purchased have credit card receipt sent under different postage. US company's have to legally comply with the now very strict US export laws.
  13. Nick Sorry, but it does come across as a personal vendetta. It has all of the hallmarks of such. Running a web site with the sole intention of rubbishing a particular organisation has to be deem a bit of an obsessive vendetta. Perhaps we should just call it pedantic obsessiveness instead. The world is full of organisations that charge a fee and fail to deliver. I don't believe membership number claims fall foul of any legalities. Unless you wanted to chance your arm at the trades description act. Take as an example how creative some forums are regarding their membership numbers. B
  14. There's none odder than to whom I believe you refer.
  15. Jeese major shades of white FFS! If eskimos can have 50 words for snow I guess we can have shades of white. Anything can be nicked if the thief or thieves are motivated enough. Even bolted down high towers. Or to be more precise. They tend to get vandalised. The anti's took a chainsaw to one that I know of and simply cut 2 of the legs out from under it about 3 feet off the ground. At lest mobile units can be removed at times of greatest risk, and the metal ones whilst of higher scrap value are less easily vandalised. Besides in trying to towing away one like i showed it's pretty hard
  16. An invisible ladder that still gets nicked whilst you're up it. I've heard of stretching the imagination but I think the band definitely broke on that one. Said, implied, alluded to, intimated at, suggested, gave the impression that, mentioned, hinted. Does it matter which? How many shades of white do you think there might be? Permanently secured to a floor means permanently fixed, Permanently fixed means its no longer mobile. Sort of defeats the object of having it towable in the first place doesn't it? But you said that already. Compromises have to be made in life Stu
  17. Thats right folks its not a typo! £20,000 of driven pheasant and partridge shooting for just £25 The Countryside Alliance have a fantastic prize draw . "a 400 bird day for a line of six to nine guns at any one of Bettws Hall’s eight shooting estates in England and Wales. The shoot and date is to be mutually agreed for the 2012/13 season and will allow the fortunate winner and their guests to experience the exceptional hospitality that Bettws Hall is renowned for." http://www.c-ashop.co.uk/product.php?productid=782&cat=89&page=1 Worth a bullseye.
  18. True theres no ladder in the photo. At your age you can't be spoon fed all of the time. The ladder clips into the hut. So the routine is . Tow to location Raise Hut Extend ladder and clip into place Climb ladder and enter hut Stay all day. When you've had your fill its just a matter of doing the above but in reverse. Simples. And you said you were the brains of your outfit.
  19. I think I have this or something very similar. A fellow stalkers sent me a copy a couple of years ago. I never got around to watching it. If I can find it. I'll pass it on to who ever wants it.
  20. My post has just been read by my utterly uncommunicative teenage son. His rather novel suggestion was that I should have simply typed "Whatever" in response to ol' Davies babbling and left it at that. I think he may well have been right.
  21. We can see that you're stating to babble now Davie. In a vain attempt to desperately try and save what little face you think have left. Its too late mate! The truth will out! Later I'll be off to have a bit of a walk, just to see what's showing by way of old bucks that need culling, now that they have had their day. Much like they did on SD too a certain someone we all know. I have enjoyed our little chat but I feel its run its course and further discourse would serve no additional purpose. Until the next time TTFN
  22. Castor bean ticks Ixodes ricinus carry louping ill they also carry Lyme disease . Lyme disease is not just restricted to the deer tick Ixodes scapularis . Makes you feel itchy just thinking about it. Yuk!
  23. Davie I'm not trying to belittle anyone. They do that perfectly well all by themselves. Actions speak louder than words and all that. But I do understand how the truth might be inconvenient for some. I haven't been under 5.7 since I left junior school.
