    Steady on Ditch Shitter. :D Kennedy...I was off school and I recall mother sniffling to herself as she cleaned out the hearth, which was splattered with the previous nights tea! Another moment...our kid returning home in the late sixties with George Harrisons "My Sweet Lord" on vinyl. :clapper:

    Wakey waaaaakey! Ditch Shitter, that was Billy Cotton wasn't it? "Sing Something Simple" signalled that it was bath time in our house on a sunday teatime. I hated baths then 'cos my dad bathed me and our kid in the same bath and when he washed my face it was as if he was using a brick instead of a loofa! Feckin' sore, but we glowed afterwards. Sat with our toes "in the fire" afterwards. Always had chilblains when I was a kid. :wacko:

    Cragman, your'e missing the point. I sympathise with people in rural areas and young prople starting on the property ladder, but this proposed law affects everyone. My parents, in their 80s have lived in their house all their lives, it was a council house that they saved to buy and it would be the only thing they could leave to their family. But if we don't sell it within 6 months of their deaths the council can just put assylun seekers in it !!!

    Fair point mate. I thought that this law was being aimed specifically at the rural communities for the reasons I stated. How stupid of me to think that Labour would be helping out our rural friends! Asylum seekers? That sounds better.

    It's a bit different when you're talking about 4x4s! :blink: The young people in the lakes are having to look at mortgages around 200k+ for their first home, whilst earnings have remained low. It's a rural economy. We get a lot on the TV here about the damage done by these southerners buying up second homes...the young ones are having to move out of the area away from their own villages because some rich southerner wants a cottage in the lakes for a couple of weeks a year. They've now started to do something about it locally...but it's to little to late I fear. Money talks.

    Could help locals in places like the lakes where southerners have mopped up all the houses, paying over the odds for houses and cottages and pricing the local young ones out of their OWN area! They turn up for a week in summer, have a walk, buy a loaf then feck off back down south for the rest of the year! :realmad:

    I agree with Ditch the Shit. I used to stick my ferts food and other kills in the fridge, but really that won't do even for me! Got myself a shed, kitted it out then picked up a nice little freezer for nowt. It's full of allsorts now...rabbit, moles, the odd rat, duck, fox pads from momentous red letter days with the hounds, babies...the usual stuff. Advertise for a freezer, in any condition. Chances are someone will have one standing doing nowt, unplugged in the back of a shop or warehouse.

    Only recently I was asked to move a fox off some land, and did all the visits, you know, the recces and this fox was coming through the same spot every evening at about 8.30pm. Mooching about, looking for insects and mice, quite oblivious to me standing about 25 yards away. When I did turn up to sort it, I just let it walk away, right passed me and although I put the gun up to it I couldn't or didn't want to shoot it. The lambs are growing, it presented no threat and it seemed like it would be a waste to dispatch such a lovely beast. I did the same in March this year on another spot, bearing in mind that it could have been a vixen that recently cubbed or was in cub. :icon_redface:

    They'll be no pardon when the time's right. :no:

    Swamper, that fire's still going mate :( . I walked the Terrier earlier...about 8pm and it was still smoking over the back of the moor. Some fire that mate. I'm working over there saturday morning so I'll have a look in between having a go at the geese. :guitar:

    Fact is they'll all still get their 120k a week and retire in their early thirties millionaires, then become "experts" on the box telling everyone how future players are shaping up. Joe Bloggs and the likes of me and you will still be at it 'til we're 65 or over and for what? Not a feckin' tap! I stopped going standing in the old K stand in the late eighties when the cost started to spiral out of control. Hopefully Beckham's gone for good, 'cos the c**t can't tackle or head a ball. Give the arm band to Terry and f**k Rooney off 'til he's grown up. Amen.

    According to folk writing on smoochers, they edit articles at the CMsW...So there you have it, Frain's work was feckin' brilliant ALL the time, it's just that it was "kept from us", we were deprived. It could also explain why Plummers work was shite. I knew all along that he was genuine. :blink:

    The Terrier and Lurcher show are normally free to get in to. It's just a matter of going through the right gate for parking. It'll be signposted. If you want to go into the show later, then you can pay virtually next to the ring. Pay, then cross the bridge over the river into the show. If you ever want to come out of the show for whatever, then return, they normally stamp the top of your hand, which you then show as you return. Hope you're understanding all this 'cos I ain't!!!
