  1. Rather than start a new thread on Mr Frain, I'll mention it here. I've just noticed in the Tideline advert in EDRD that this prolific author has another book out..."The Year Of The Working Terrier". Original title :clapper: . Please note and I quote; " Profusely illustrated throughout with cartoons, drawings and b-w photos". Anyone got it yet? ;)

  2. Sticking this up for Lurcherbitch, who's unable to get on-line at the moment.

A seven month old brindle lurcher dog has been found in Haydock. The ARSEpca have hold of it at the moment. Apparently it got a grip of one of their guys as only a seven month old young dog can do. If you know anything about the dog or you are indeed the owner contact LB on; 07941026456

  3. Good stuff Wilky. Certainly early. A few weeks ago we were bumping into foxes everywhere, now it's gone quite and that could be the reason...the vixens are keeping their heads down away from their usual places of residence and resting up due to the impending litter. Though having said that, we had a fox in the trap this morning and had another on its feet later. Look at the position of the ears on those cubs, right down the side of the head. Amazing that they will end up almost on top of their heads when they're fully grown. :clapper:

  4. It's f*****g scandalous! In this day and age with the technology they have, why can't they make it a subscription channel, like Sky do? If you have a TV system that's compatable and you want it...stump up, if not you're 160 odd quid better off. Most of the so called stars are on far too much money. That Jonathan Woss (£18 million over three years I think) and those two queers from Little Britain (more millions) are laughing their bollocks off at the rest of us! I don't give a f**k how "entertaining" somebody is deemed to be...no one is worth THAT much!

  5. Feckin' hell Baldie, that's steep mate :icon_eek: but I'd have done the same as you. She's a smart bitch I know that much. I spent a good amount on my fella a few years ago, it never crossed my mind to do owt else. What you need is a good walk out excersising hounds to clear your mind. The lads have been asking after you. ;)

  6. Thurso jack, it might be an idea to let the Post Office know where your new address is, they can then re-direct your mail for a while. There's a fee involved I think though.

  7. Obviously a cub Foxdropper. They come like f**k this time of year. I went out last week for a look about and seen one a good way off. Did a very light squeak and it couldn't come in fast enough...it was nearly in the cab with me. I turned the light off and left it alone. Baldies arriving this week :clapper: . The week before I saw eight on different spots! :D Good shooting though, on the run. ;)

  8. I'm looking forward to a bit of flighting myself John. You can't beat the solitude of it. As for the Canadas...I'm at them ALL year long! Shot my first brace of Teal last season and had plenty of them coming in to my ponds. I've been told to get over to Southport to watch the wildfowl coming in around October time. Supposed to be spectacular.

  9. I'd say spend more time with him mate. The heavy hand doesn't always work. Take him out doing whatever he's into...cinema, football, looking round the shops and keep him busy but don't make it look too obvious you're trying! Chat to him like mates do. Let him speak to you, to tell you things. Could be he just needs a little guidance, putting on a straight line again. Don't forget to smile and laugh when he's with you. Good luck. :);)

  10.:clapper: I love you, Cragman! At last, someone else who can identify! :good:

'Where were You, when Kennedy bought it?' In f***ing bed! I was about seven at the time and it probably broke at around ten pm over here?

    I do remember Churchill's funeral though ;)

Steady on Ditch Shitter. :D Kennedy...I was off school and I recall mother sniffling to herself as she cleaned out the hearth, which was splattered with the previous nights tea! Another moment...our kid returning home in the late sixties with George Harrisons "My Sweet Lord" on vinyl. :clapper:
