well was out sunday and I put a hob and jill down a hole and one rabbit surfaced. after about 20mins no sign of the pugs so i put the locator on and started to dig them out they were both in the same place so thought they might have a rabbit down there. I first got the hob out and then the jill but there was no rabbit so i dug a little more and still couldn't find anything. There was fur in the pipe and some on the claws off the pugs but no blood around their mouths, thought they might have gone to sleep down there but they have never done it before and why would they lay up in the same place?

ive got two jills and one hob The hob is like a clown and im not worried about him he sits on my shoulder and licks my ear. The two jills are ok but sometimes they nip I dont know why, I can handle them fine and play with them but i need to keep an eye on them cos they sort of sniff me then lick me then have a little nip i can tell when they are think about doing it. Has anyone else seen this or expericed it ? or do i have two little bitches?

how many people do not use ferret finders

I made by without a finder but i've got one now and like people have said it's peace of mind so now i've got no worries. I read somewhere people use a muzzle, dont how true this is but has anyone seen or used one? -
im not saying imcriminate your self's just thought like to hear some storys shared by hunters. I havent got much to write my self as i havent been ferrerting for that long just a couple months. I only got a locator last week so i havent taken them out much cos of this, but now nothing is stopping me so it wont be long until i have some storys to say my self. But nice write up so far lads

So i know some people wont wanna tell some off there storys but nevermind has anyone been somewhere with their dogs and/or ferrets where they shouldnt off been....if you catch my drift and been caught or nearly caught or had some lucky escapes. I'm an angel and never do anything bad so i dont have a story to write but I hope to read some good posts from people who have been doing a long time. cheers

So are slip leads completly illegal or just illegal to use on a long dog? could you use one for a terrier? what is the law for slip leads

ok cheers lads i understand the trust thing and the anti thing so i'll guess i'll just have to wait and hope that someone will show me one day. I understand the illegal and legal side of things (or i think i do) that only one dog can be put to ground at anyone time and must have a locator. The dog is only allowed to flush the quarry to a gun and is not to kill the aniamal. But experance/hands-on teaches more then reading about something so thats why i was asking to tag along with someone and help out and learn. aslo i have a terrier (mean littler bugger jack russel x corgi) he is p

why would i be lucky? are people not very inviting in the terrier world? I could return the favour. I work on a 900 acre and it's propper fox infested maybe i could invite them down for a day

Hi this is probbly in the wrong section but nevermind.... I would like to ask any terrierman if i could come along and experience and help dig with a terrierman and learn the ropes. I live in bedforshire so anyone around that area or surrounding counties would be great. cheers
