    been reading a few old whippet books and others lately. One says that many generations ago the whippet had a longer coat but due to racing a shorter coat was required..... Introducing terrier blood added the gameness and 'do or die' attitude to the breed...., Now in this book there is a picture if a whippet from the 60's. It's in exactly the same pose as a picture I have of my whippet bitch..... I compared the photos and the older photo seems to have a smaller head with a longer face by a long way....... Whereas by whippet seems to have a shorter, wider and generally bigger head.......

    Mate I've got a 1.4 turbo diesel fiesta. Cracking we'd Car. I can get the dogs in the boot. Baby in a car Chair and whole load of kit for Camping/holiday. I get some looks pulling into the shows when the likes of Rake are looking smarmy in their 4x4 but it does Me. Never missed a beat and is cheap to run

    Stayed in. Took the dogs out at 12.05 for a 2012 stroll then went to sleep. Exciting!!!

    LOL. we know thats no true My old man lives next to a farm, every time the cows get out he ends up out in his y fronts herding cows at 3am! The result of always being on hand when needed haha

    The missus is mental with this pup mate! I have to keep her away from collars or she want a pink diamonte one! That was one argument in the middle of pets at home she's getting better, think with the injuries she worries about the dog and I can see her point. The dogs are like her 2nd and 3rd baby, when I'm at work, working away etc she's with the dogs 24/7 so she's mega attached- and so am I tbh! I have a coat for the whippet, only gets used in really bad weather and just to warm her up when we first go out- then it comes off. No shame in that. Doesn't make me any less of a man lol

    I've been trying for beating for ages. To get the lab x out and enjoy the day like I used to do. Didnt even want paying!! but everyone I contacted fcuked me right off! Lab helped me but it was a bit to far.

    A neighbour of mine is a keen shooter, he puts his own birds down(don't ask me the ins and outs lol) and lamps with a rifle. He's been telling me for a while About his land having rabbits in abundance but the land needs ferreted. So I told him if I ferreted it for him (which I would be happy to do ASAP free of charge!) I would want a favour in return. So he said he could take me out rough shooting....... He came back an hour later with one of his mates and proposed that if I ferreted his land him and his mate would return the favour. After much deliberation we decided that I would ferr

    Lamping isn't my game but I'm stuck in reading a book! Quality time with the misus and baby before I go back to work. I'm out tomorrow with a neighbour. He's got land with burrows but no ferrets. Him and his mates are keen shooters so I'm ferreting tomorrow for them(ferreting to shotguns) and then after a few hours its a bit of rough shooting with us and my lab x, back home for tea and then out tomorrow night lamping with the rifle- oh the dreaded rifle shooters! Should be a good day and night if the weather holds up. Looking forward to it

    Hi mate. I done a 6 week sniper course at work..... We made a ghillie suit out of an old camouflage jacket and trousers. We got sandbags and cut them into strips of various lengths and stapled them on to the the jacket all over.we used black staples we were given and would reccomend stitching it. We had little time. The more the better. Lots of strips over the hood area and stitched some Scrim netting into the hood so it could be put over your face and some of the rifle. We wore it everyday, in the resteraunt, on sports and [bANNED TEXT] we went the toilet! The only time we didn't hav

    Bit of ferreting to the guns tomorrow followed by a night lamping with the rifle. Should be a good day if the rain stays off.
