    The job out in afghan now is of peace. Britain is pouring millions into the country's economy trying to get the farmers tractors and equipment so they can grow wheat and other things apart from poppies for heroin. The Taliban don't use rules and don't wear uniform, they do what they want and how they want.     bye whin :bye: cookie, i dont know how much the vets should charge. i was astounded that they refused to castrate and then offered a more expensive route where the vets get a long term gain financially look whin knows his stuff, he knows a lot more than a lot of folk and i would of loved to have learned from him. truth is i dont like the way he is with people on here, theres just no need for the way he speaks to folk. no dog has a good point, no person is a decent guy in his eyes and for somebody that tries to make a money gain out of people that just want to learn is in my eyes pret

    "Ferrets are becoming popular amongst working people," What? Most if not all the lads that had ferrets when I was young worked so can't see that as the reason. More likely to be the fact that more ferrets are being kept as pets. As for the second sentence, are you seriously trying to tell us that every ferret keeper has to get either, all hobs castrated, jills spayed, a vasectomised hob or has to get the jill jabbed?     I came back from my Second tour of afghan in April (only seems like yesterday). I prayed in some Situations that if I got home to see the baby then I Wouldn't be going back. I signed off when I came home, didn't have any help from Resettlement...... Resettlement officer has s board in his Office that says 'NOTICE TO TERMINATE 44' scrawled underneath it 'LOSERS' I struggled finding job, with a baby/house/ dogs/ ferrets/ car/ wedding Etc I had to be wise and not think about myself.     Dropped my wee pet Jill at her new home yesterday. Lady was telling me about how she went to get her ferret castrated and the vet refused to do it, coming out with a load of reasons/ health implications why they wouldn't do it and then said he would only give the implant. Now bearing in mind castration is a one off payment of let's say £56 and this implant is £50ish, takes 4 weeks to kick in and needs replacing every 18 months or so. Vet them came out with how he wanted to sedate the ferret to do it bumping the cost up to £105! That's £105 every 18 months! Then there's the vaccines....

    Had a decent pair of wellies I bought from a game fair but my old Mans dog ripped them to shreds..... Them wellies Kittlerox is talking about are fecking agony!! I had them on a few hours and was in pieces I wear lowa's for ferreting and for work. Never let me down yet. I am also looking for a pair of wellies so I don't have to wear my good work Boots.

    Just rehomed that Jill of mine mate, some mad ferret woman I knew off another site. Went to her house and couldnt of Asked for better for a pet Jill. Crazy wasn't even the word..... Urn's full of ferret ashes on the mantle piece, litter trays in every corner, big conservatory full of ladders, toys, pipes, I mean full!! They had the run of the house and slept wherever they wanted- in the bed if they felt like! Not my cup of tea but well looked after and clean. Ferrets were immaculate Gutted to see her go but she will be loving it haha

    Insurance is a b@stard. I had a 2.0ltr corsa when I was 17- soon got it took off me and a slap round the war off my old man when he seen me fcuking about in it and traded it in for a 1.9 diesel corsa van!. Bearing in mind I paid for my first car. That diesel corsa wad an embarrassment but never missed a beat and it got abused. Used to trail around the town in the van with 2 german shepherds in the back. When they barked the bloody thing nearly tipped over! Lol Wish I had it now..... Be ideal. Don't know how 17 year olds afford defenders + insurance + running it....... Mum and da

    Some people buy locators, others buy shoes for their kids. What's the big deal? Shouldn't ferret without a locator? :laugh:
