  1. I know what you mean about the second hand market prices mate, seems like most folks have more money than sense ! Still you can get the odd deal now and then.
  2. Sod that !!! Paying for fishings one thing when the clubs look after the water and introduce more fish for the sport, but you don't see farmers releasing fecking pigeons by the hundreds.........????
  3. Thats that then ! A field trial is the best review you can have.
  4. Unless You can get hold of a Second Pulsar N550 Rob, Then No worries has they can take the Punishment of Centre Fire Rifles easily, Works a Treat on My Un-tuned HW 77k .22 atvb Daz 7. Hasn't it been mentioned before about the recoil effects from a Springer rifle being different to that of any Rim or Centre Fire rifle ?
  5. For the money surly you could grab yourself a nice second hand HW, AA or BSA ?
  6. I use them a fair bit mate but then I've always used 6 x mag on ether a fixed or a variable scope. That way I've no need to learn lots of points of aim as my sighting plain is quite straight out to from my first zero point to my second. However you've still got to know your scope and rifle combination inside and out before taking it out shooting live quarry.
  7. I've never seen a owner of one yet thats had it for more than a year, tells you something don't it.........
  8. Aye its a KT mate and a fine looking beast at that LOL.
  9. My lass has been banned from ever touching any of my rifles ever again after dropping one into the mud and doing a fecking fine job of a soldiers cross with it's barrel buried 4 inches into the ground !!! Strong words were exchanged that day lads.
  10. Thats the exact same set up I was using on my HW 100 before I sold her, you wont go wrong with that mate.
  11. I've thousands of em hammering the rape on a farm I shoot, been out hitting the buggers like mad. Although is it just me or is decoying pigeons a right faff in the winter, its either the whole flock taking off or nothing !
  12. + 1 They really are a bag of shite that are more for garden plinking than as a hunting rig, I've had the odd one for a laugh now and again and its like shooting with an elastic band !
  13. As with most air rifles or any fire arms you are better off sticking with reputable manufacturers or " Makes " .
  14. Do your self a favour and get shot of it quick ! Those rifles are a notorious pain in the neck and arse to keep running and I've lost count of the number of times that I've turned one down !!!
  15. This is why I switched over to fixed mag and cut out all the faffing around ! Do your self a favour and get your self a nice and compact Leupold 6 x 42 scope, they've got crystal clear glass and work great in low light conditions. Most lads find that they tend to stick to one magnification after awhile any way.
  16. Webley is another one of those great british names that have now been bought up by foreign firms and tarnished in the process with poor build quality I'm afraid. The last time you could say Webley made good Air Rifles was in the 90's ! Such fine examples of this would be spring rifles like the Tracker, Omega and PCP rifles like the FX2000.
  17. Racism FFS don't make me laugh you Irish lads can dish it out but cant take it back !!!
  18. Try the Potters Bar diving shop on the high street mate. He's quite cheep knows his stuff and also sells pellets and air rifles as a side line.
  19. that statement isnt true... i was told by a good friend who is muslim that the reason they dont like dogs is because dogs are used for protection and as weapons in alot of the muslim states chid you wanna take down the badges you have as your sig Whats the problem with his signature then ? Looks fine to me billy wizz ! Have you got a problem with someone who shows his support for the lads and who's a bit patriotic ? If any thing you want to take down that avatar of some hoody thug pal !
  20. Not a bad choice of scope if a little stiff on the side focus unless you use the side wheel provided. I've recently switched over to using the Hawke Panorama and can't fault it one bit. Also worth a look is the Hawke Night Eye Digital or a Simmons WTC.
  21. Not exactly useless as they still hold the scope in place ! I think what the op is worried about is a subject thats been mentioned on other forums regarding flexing of the HW100 block due to it being a 2 piece design held together by bolts at the bottom of the block. Apparently all us HW100 owners should be using a 1 piece mount in order to clamp the action tight together or we run the risk of losing the zero on the rifle ????? Appletree Don't worry yourself about it mate just ensure the 2 bolts are done up tight and buy yourself some quality mounts that suit the height of your objec
