  5. everytime my dog pisses on my lawn with in a few days the grass is dead is there anything i can do to help the grass or anything i can feed the dog i know its a ponsey question but my daughter plays on the grass and it did look nice...
  6. i can see why hes going to do it there is 5 one tonne bags of maze in the hay shed and the rats have eaten half of one in a month so its money lost from his point of view but there are still plenty around the feeders for us .... crow twatting time soon that will keep us busy
  7. HEAD LAMPS like the ones you buy in camping shops. i have tried gun lamps but never really liked them cant afford nv but have found this way works brilliantly and alot cheaper
  8. it was a good laugh but it was dodgy in the hay barn as you could hear them but not always see them...

Tonight saw myself and RATDOG out on our tuesday night rat shooting session around the farm yard and cow shed this was the 3rd tuesday in a row we've done this but i rememberd the camera this time . we recon we have shot around 90 rats in total . this is probably the last shoot we will get as i know the farmer is due to set the poision down to wipe them out must admit it has been great fun so here are afew pics of some of the kills from tonight..well the ones that i could take pictures of

  11. i have an AAs410 in .177 cal and i use air arms fields crackin pellets never had a problem with them
  12. i had problems judging distances so i brought a rangefinder best buy ever dont know how i lived without it

  16. look out for there nests in the trees and little digs on the ground , find a nice comfy spot to sit and wait and let them come to you or try baiting them with peanut butter for a few days and and pick a day after a few and wait for them to come for there butter treat and hit them then . i always spend a day doing a bit a recon when i get a new bit of land just to see whats around ...
  17. the only thing i found with OSB is that my ferrets like to scratch the hell out of it and it does come away so keep an eye on it ... just make sure you paint/stain everything dont leave anything untreated even the ends youll be glad you took the time to do it right 2X2 is 2 inch x 2 inch if you need help just ask
  18. went to my permission on sunday morning to start my squirrel clearing sessions found a nice place to hide i tucked myself right in by a old oak tree stump and waited and i didnt wait for long i shot 5 within 2 hrs and saw a charlie walk within 20 meters of where i was . had a nice sight for around 5 minutes deer they where 15m away and i dont think they knew i was there that made my day... i could'nt be arsed to pick them all up nice pair of fattys sorry about the quality but my game bag was out of reach all i had was my mobile
  19. massive mistake M D F no no no no it soaks water up like a sponge and think of the smell when wee is soaked in to it :sick: and laminated chipboard NO NO it also soaks up the water .The flooring it looks like it in two bits bad mistake the ferrets will scratch at it and make a hole and escape .and the batten looks like 1/2 inch x 1 inch in my opinion its not going to be stong enough nore will it stand ferrets chewing at it for too long . the cages i've built are 2x2 framed with 18mm ply flooring with a 4mm plastic cover and part sides for easy cleaning 11mm ply sides and a poly
