    Have you got someone you can go out with thats got a dog doing the buisness? It wouldn't hurt to go out for a few runs with your pup watching on the lead and give them individual slips as sometime as the thought of another dog being there encourages them to pick a rabbit up just simply because they want it first. Soon has the pups caught a rabbit take it on its own from then on. Although the thought of healthy competition can be good to encourage the catch having a second dog there can knacker the retrieve.     With tonights forcast showing a bit of rain i decided to venture out again with the young dog/pup. Its been a couple of years or more since my last dog and trying to think of spots to go was my first challenge lol. Anyway tonights spot held a few rabbits if memory served me right. Upon getting there the gate into the first field was wide open which was handy and just through it was the first run of the night. Nice start first run first one in the bag.     After carefully keeping a eye on the weather forcast I decided tonight was the night to get my young greenhorn dog out for a decent run. Up until this afternoon the forcast was giving out a better night than what we got. These last couple of weeks of heavy showers and spells of rain had more than made up for the dry spell this summer with the grass much greener and longer than I thought in a good many fields.
