    if the dog is not welcome then i dont do the land ,the dog as a part in ferreting just as much as the ferrets do tell the land owner that its you and the dog or f**k all . if hes worth his salt he will let you and the dog on .tell him the dogs part in ferreting and then see what he as to say .whats the point in training a dog up then you have left him or her at home with the kids and her in doors ,

    i put a bit of dry food in the ferret boxs just level tea spoon just so they not looking to hard for food and goats milk at half time that work for me (each to ther own )

    well said THE ONE feed them up ,if they are full most of the time they grow better i think but thats just me i do the same but i feed liver to very young kits (cows liver) and give the jill goats milk but only a egg cup full 2 or 3 times a day i think it helps the jill but that again is just me

    i also do a little of shooting ,with rimfire 22 and a bsa scorpion t10 22 , i have a paterdale terrier witch i work at rabbits(with the ferrets )she hold the rabbits when they are in the net till i can get there and i fish as well but i cant go out for long at any of them ( but i do still have a 12 bore but it kicks me to much now so like me it dont go out that much with it ) thank you ,

    thank you SAXONMASTER you must never stop only when you cant walk any more i still love his way of hunting . witch ferret finder do you have? i got one of the new ones mk3m it tuck me almost a full season to get to grips with it buts ok now lol

    NEVER LET HER IN DOORS TELL YOU THAT YOU CANT GO OUT HUNTING IF SHE DID TELL HER dont let the door hit you on your way out ,or the terriers ferrets guns was here befor you and they are stopping but you can go any time they wont too

    if you have got to do it to keep your land then go but if not i wouldnt because all your ferrets will be doing is moving to young rabbits about its 50 /50 if they come out or not and he prob will kill in but its up to you i would shoot it good luck matey there will be no rabbits left if he uses gas tell him to crack on because you ant ferreting cause there will be no holes left too do any way .

    be very carefull putting him about that much . THERE IS SUCH A THING I THINK OF AS HIV IN FERRETS CANT REMEMBER WERE I READ ABOUT BUT LOOK IN TO IT MATE BECAUSE IF HE GETS IT .YOU CAN AND COULD BE IN REAL BOTHER NO FUN INTENDED BUT SORRY IF IM RONG BUT ASK ON HERE SOMEBODY WILL NO MORE THAN ME

    so they baned ferrets in the uk would you stop going ?? cause i will never stop ferreting . it tuck me all day one time to do 2, 15 holers a and 3, 6 holers because of my age if they kill in i sit a wait till they come out because young man when you get to my age you just cant dig past 3 foot try it at 67 . and you will see what you can do and what you can NOT .no harm intended

    so how do you lads feed jills that have a nest full of kits ? do you or do free feed her ? what best for to eat when feeding ? i feed a lot of quail when she got kits ?
