i use barbless hooks for all my fishing now and dont lose anymore than i did with barbed ones as said keep the line tight at all times and u should be ok

i have fell in a few times myself had a scary one whilst salmon fishing lost my footing and got dragged a good bit down the fast water managed to grab a tree on my way by was lucky as i was fishing alone
