Thanks Blue, he is not getting on wit my other dogs, while he is chilled, the other fuckers are ganging up on him, I was hoping that they would make some sort of bond, have tried to put him in with each on their own, no joy, just one of them things that can happen. I had a Taffy 3/4 in the 80s too. That's him in my avatar. He was a good dog. Chhers mate. mine was rough coated and probably one of the best dogs i ever had the plesure of owning and working,i also had a richard jones x sally dog that was fantastic at the time,looking forward to see how this pup goes for you atb tom Thanks mate - will post progress. I had a Richard Jones puppy too - cracking dog. Not as flashy as the Taffy pup but he was great fun. Broke a hind leg and hd him put down when he was 5 years old. mine was every bit as flashy as the taffy cross,27tts and racy,on

Dont agree with that at all,,,striking ability or timing isn't inbred its learnt by doing....the more access the dog has to game the better it will become...dogs overtime develope their own style of striking it comes with experience a pup i bred 3yrs ago used to sneak off up the fields at the back of my house when he was 9months old,lie down in the ditch and wait for the rabbits to come out,then course and catch one,he would run along side the rabbit then when he thought the time was right he would change gear and pick it up,i agree they improve with experience but there born with the abi

i had a taffy bred 5/8 3/8 and a richard jones halfx in 1989 and both were awesome fox dogs,but aint seen any of his stuff in the last ten yrs that even come close to his dogs of yrs ago

well snizle,i agree totally with your thinking,to produce guaranteed workers both sire and dam need to posses the gene that makes them excell in the hunting field,you can line the best working dog to the most outstanding bitch and still produce only mediocre offspring,because either the dog or the bitch only inherited the working gene and therfore its not guaranteed to pass to the off spring,iv line bred dogs for the last 15yrs and every one has excelled at there job,in the past i also bred very good dogs to very good bitches and produced dirt,i would never breed from a greyhound that wasnt tr

Nice pups but it true they could do of been wormed and a good feed of 4 or 5 times a day there actually wormed every 3wks since they were 3wks old with drontal syrup and fed add lib! there out loose,free range and running about all day,maybe thats why they might look a little thin to you,but its not for wanting for anything,but thanks for your concern
