  1. So is there any point in bringing fire wood or is it all sorted? As I got quite alot of logs here , well trees cut into sections lol
  2. No he didn't say you shouldn't, he said that he sees multishots more suitable for hunting just incase you need a follow up shot. I can see what he is saying as if you do you can do it a lot quicker an less chance of missing the opportunity to do so ,by the time you load up a spring etc . And you said it was ridiculous to suggest only pcp multi for hunting..when really he has a valid point of why he chooses to do so..which is upto him. Anyone not confident to shoot at living animals should go back to the drawing board an put more practice in. But at the end of the day you can't read a rabbits.m
  3. Ye, they tend to have a coat of lube that protects the barrels when in storage usually
  4. what do u mean by runners? Runners tend to be a hit then they run off few metres into cover etc. You were on about misses ,not hit and run..nobody takes a shot not expecting to hit the rabbit anywhere. I took a shot on a rabbit 43 paces with .177 an as I took the shot a strong wind hit and took the pellet off into the chest of the rabbit the otherday. I honestly thought I still hit it in the head, but on closer inspection I saw where it had gone through the heart +lung place, it didn't jump, twitch or anything. But still give it a reassuring smack at the head with hand. People will probably not
  5. so your telling us, you use .22 ,and that everything you aim at..you 100% hit. Come on now mate
  6. Probuks answer is quite honest and worth taking note tbh. Atleast with a pcp for hunting very little can go wrong, therefore giving a clean kill pretty much guaranteed. Having said that I also like spring guns..its tradition more than anything, plus being more rewarding
  7. But was you a big 11 year old ? Lol I still think a 8lb gun, by the time u fit a scope is too heavy
  8. Someone recommended it an said "7lb odd 3.4kg a 11 year old should be able to shoot that) lol I don't know what 11 year old he's seen lol
  9. Ahhhh I'm on my phone aswell, doesn't make it easy lol cheers il take another look now
  10. What article ? There's just a peacock slideshow, nothing about pigeons etc..?
  11. I was looking at these, still think it will be too long..even the carbines are fairly long. He could only hold my huntsman for a few seconds the otherday..only thing I can think of is the brocock contour atm, but would rather get him firing a Springer the best he can..pcps make you lazy and bad habbits , but this gun is too small and every Springer will be to heavy lol..its supposed to be a supprise but with a gun I don't think it can be like lol
  12. I got wood lol remember that thread I started about cherry wood stocks? Well..haha I have lots of wood
  13. Many moons ago Barry lol I remember my first airgun when I was 8, my dad only snapped the barrel aimed towards the floor..coppers never stopped us etc
  14. They do deals if your out of work? If only car insurance did the same lol
  15. I can't shoot it comfortable, neither can my 11yr old anymore. That's why I'm on the look out for a gun which is light but adult gun. Personally I wouldn't shoot at anything other than tins an bottles with it, afterall its a junior starter gun that is way low on power..an increasing it will probably only make it shoot like a pig. Atb
  16. I got a new neighbour moving in as we speak..a vicar too.. no doubt il have complaints, but it will consist of f and off, my land lord lives 2doors away, my nextdoor neighbour doesn't mind it and neither did the neighbours before Mr vicar moved in..so I'm just waiting for it, seems a snooty gitt as it is...lol
  17. I was waiting for the tight bit lol
  18. "Oh i know, il join a hunting forum , in the hunting hunting part and il ask permission off hunters who hunt on people's land for permission" lol if only it were that easy mate ..atb on knocking em doors
