got a 3 year old whippet bitch here, bred by me, works her flange of enters all cover , never sustained an injury yet, as fer cold winter mornings, no problems, also have a 14 month old bitch off a member of this forum, absolute mustard out there, takes fur and feather, not everyones cup of tea are whippets, depends on several factors, your terrain, and what quarry you wanna take with your dogs, as fer me, ive had my days with different dogs, now im just a straight forward rabbitter and have got the dogs that do nicely fer me i'm just a rabbitter thats all i want it for i think i'm on a wh

My mate as a Mike Brown whippet he's still quite young at the moment but what I've seen so far his is a good worker,he hunts up,marks and is very respectful of nets.The one thing that limits him where I hunt is his speed its very rough uneven ground with a lot of obstacles to negotiate which imo isn't suited to speed merchants.I work a collie x and she's perfect for the ground I work,one thing I'll stand by is if its just rabbits your after then a good collie x will seldom be bettered. thanks mate think i will be looking into a cross still unsure though il have to work out whats best for m

Hi Mickey, I used to work Beddy X Whippets, Beddy x Greys and now have a Whippet Pup all these are excellent ferreting dogs,for beddy crosses try the The Working bedlington Forum and for Whippets the Working Whippet Forum, decent bunch of Lads on these forums and should be able to point you in the right direction, if you go for these crosses. doing a bit bit of reading on working whippets and the name mike brown seems to be thrown around alot has anyone of you seen one work or use one of these dogs now?
