    It can be done , but red stags come in all weights ie 12-13stone up to 20.If in the rut they can be very angry.Wolfs use to kill deer in scotland all the time red that is but the last wolf was killed in glencoe by a scottish deerhound a brace of the them, and thats what they were bred for for . red deer Just like boar hunting hold them till the human comes , and they aint much we cant kill so for scottish deerhound or irsh wolfhound yes no probs

    The biggest roe buck i had years ago was 48lbs weight at the game dealer .Thats with the guts out the head off and the bottom of the legs off.So i figure about 95-100lbs.Forestery roe are a lot smaller 20-30 done out.

    I have just joined this forum and am amazed at this thread.Bull x and collie x are lurchers.i was taught a long time ago You have long dogs ie two sighthound breeds crossed like deerhoundxgreyhound = longdog. Colliex greyhound = lurcher.same as bull x greyhound = lurcher.Sighthoundxsighthound = longdog ie coursing dog.bullx collie cross kelpie x airdale x = lurcher or if you like kerry blue xgreyhound. Longdogs and lurchers are different same looking dogs just different skills
